IMO best episode ever.
IMO best episode ever.
Trickster as Gabriel doesn't seem too retconny to me. It fits with the Supernatural mytharc that's been going on, but I can understand why people would bitch when they take a Pagan god/demi-god such as the Trickster and fit him into Judeo-Christian beliefs. For one thing, Trickster always seemed waaay too overpowered for what he could do, but at least now it makes sense - he was an archangel.
What was funny:
1) The CSI knockoff one liners.
2) Dean's man-crush on Dr. Sexy, M.D. And Dean doesn't like procedurals!
3) Dean, aka Michael, driving KITT (Sampala?)
4) When Trickster turned Sam back into a person instead of the voice of the Sampala, and he gets out of the passenger side door, he rubs his butt (remember Dean was getting stuff out of the trunk?).
5) "Should I honk?"
6) Dean's Japanese.
7) Seriously? Seriously?
8) The ENTIRE Supernatural sitcom theme song - guy in a sheet as a ghost, tossing a football, tandem bike, and it looked like the same font as the Full House credits.
maybe not intentional but the whole Doctor, Doctor scene reminded me of Spies Like Us (think thats the one I mean)
Episode was amazing. I must say any episode with trickster/gabriel is nothing but win.
Close up of Dean "Son of a bitch!" . That made me laugh so hard haha!
When that "commercial" 1st started i was about to turn it . Then I was like something is wrong here lol.
O god they should make that one the real deal.
Pretty quality episode, loved the "Chuck, it's ok if you want to write more books." "Really?" "No, we have guns." part, and how about the teaser at the end? Next week looks to be amazing.
'There really is no such thing as a Croatoan virus for... down there. You should really go see a doctor.'
'Like a monkey on the sun, it was too hot to live.'
Awesome episode, lol
It's not really jumping the shark if you never come back down.
Excellent (I'm late I know, but still...)
Last few episodes have been stellar, going to be really sad when this season is over and if/it's done.
Quite depressing episode, Jo(really going to miss that sweet ass) and ellen, colt not working, death, and Jan 21 hiatus. Best part of the episode was meg getting burnt in the holy oil.
I've been sitting around this entire season asking why they would think that the Colt would work on Lucifer. When we were introduced to the Colt it was described as "capable of killing any demon" so what in the world would cause them to think it would work on an archangel?!
I seem to recall that being retcon'd to only demons, but clearly I'm wrong. Sorry
Yeah it worked on Luther the vamp first when papa winchester was around in season 1, I think he was the first victim, and it worked on Azazel. I think it's useful now that they know the Colt won't work, and honestly I think all of us omniscient viewers knew the Colt wasn't going to be a deus ex machina and kill Lucifer, but at least now Sam & Dean know.. and we knew Lucifer wasn't going down in the 10th episode, but Sam & Dean don't know that... keep trying guys, but it's gonna go down in the 22nd episode. ^___^
