Has anyone taken a clerical speed test?

An employer wants me to take a clerical speed test... I've never even HEARD of that. Going on google doesn't get me straight answers exactly, so this leads me to believe its something more esoteric in nature. Has anyone ever taken one? What exactly is the "score" you get in the end? Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

A clerical speed test is basically a typing test with an added competency test to boot.

A clerical test is usually just a keyboarding test (wpm/errors) but can also be a short test that has sections on spelling, grammar and punctuation, since in a lot of clerical jobs you need to have "attention to detail" and a good grasp of the English language.

132wpm is my all-time high, thought 'corrected' WPM can suck my balls. Somehow, typing 132wpm isn't actually 132wpm if you hit backspace a bunch of times. Seems to me idc if I type out the magna carta, delete it, and then write what I'm supposed to, if I end up with 132 words in a minute, that's what it should be, yo.

you have to hit backspace because you make mistakes. mistakes are bad.

the test is about doing it right the first time. not a difficult concept to understand.
