HD Anime thread

There is more and more HD anime movies and TV shows and I'm wondering what people have watched and what they suggest. I'll put out the ones I've seen recently:

Origin: Spirits of the Past
Sword of the stranger
and of course the new Eva movie

Has anyone seen any good HD anime recently? Shows or movies. Before someone points it out I am aware of thora.

The girl who leapt through time.

It was beautiful, and the story was interesting. It's the kind of movie you could watch with anyone. If you want action, it might not be for you, but it was definitively good.

I'm currently watching Shangri-la. It's a weird story set in the future where the economy is based upon your country's carbon dioxide output (more is bad for your country's economy). It's decent though and released in 1080p, action/adventure type.

I also loved The girl who leapt through time. I can't wait for this to come out in October:

5 centimeter per second then? It's a love story...not much happen, but it was visually beautiful.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days mood is similar, but they have some sci-fi plot twist

Tekkon Kinkreet! I can't recommend this movie enough to everyone I meet.

I only watch shows in HD now, so basically I just wait till THORA gets the blu-rays and download entire seasons at once.

Sky Crawler...spent the whole fucking night trying to remember the title of that movie. I loved the music in that movie, but it was kinda boring.

Paprika was awesome. Thought I listed it, but I guess not.

Wow, I thought Paprika was terrible.

How can you hate this! The movie was a nice acid trip.

But seriously, I can understand why someone would not like it if they wanted action, but it was still a decent sci-fi/pseudo philosophical story. Pretty typical from japanese, but much better than anything with 14 years old characters showing their panties.

Personally, my favorite part was the soundtrack. I loved it

Anyone watched Avalon? It's not an anime, but it looks awesome despite being 10 years old.
