Questions regarding billing and content IDs

Sorry, I looked all over and I don't know where this topic goes to, please move this to appropriate section if need be. It must've been a while, I remember there used to be a newb section... Also apologies if this question hv been answered before. I would be glad for some direction.

I will be taking a break from game for a new job that requires me to move a lot for the next 12 months at least. So...

1. How do I retain my character without paying?

2. Can I just delete my credit card information without it saying something like - "You must fill out this section to continue"?

3. When I come back to game, do I hv to pay a lum sum of what I were to pay during the break?

4. Is there a fee for restarting the game?

5. Where do I go to reactivate my character?

Wrong section but:

Go to POL > Member Services > Content ID's > Deactivate all active Content ID's. They will bill you for the final month played. When you are ready to come back, go back into pol, member services, content id's, and there is a button for reactivation. It is really quite simple and idiot proof.

Ah shucks, there's a deactivation option? All I saw was cancellation buttons (same thing?), which only allows reactivation within* 3 months. I will go through it again. Thanks for quick replies.
