Law & Order Season 20

I know most of us watch this show in passing (repeats 10,000x a day on TNT) but the Season 20 opener last week was probably one of the best episodes I've seen in years. Some may remember the episode entitled "Gun Show," well, I put this up with that EP.

Yeah that was a pretty badass episode, too bad it doesn't really get resolved :3 The cancer thing is kinda boring, but I guess if they want to kill off a character, might as well.

The season opener was really quiet good, and the following episode was really enjoyable as well, though i'm not sure if we were supposed to believe the lady was crazy or that she was conning everyone, or that her conning everyone was due to her being crazy.

They seem to try to stray away from giving away any jury decisions that would seem improbable irl. Examples would be the Judge overturning the jury verdict in gun show, the resolution of Rumble (season 19 opener) and many others that I can't think of the names of atm (the one with the new sons of liberty, personal favorite)

They push the limits and stuff but in the end, they don't ever stray away from precedent, even if we all want them to.

Because it'd be too much unlike real life, and it's supposed to be realistic.

Tho I get tired of everyone going after Jack for being a free thinking liberal hippie >_> He really seems to feel like Adam did, back in the day.

The grand jury in season 19 - the one where the rent-a-cop shot some mexicans during a parade - was probably the farthest they've taken that angle, but man are they drilling it ever since they made him DA.

EP3 of S20 was pretty powerful as well. I really thought they were going a totally different way with it until the end.

Hope they continue with the awesome EPs this season.

Yea, I was surprised that he actually did the right thing. I totally didn't like that guy, seemed like he'd do anything to save himself only, or I thought he was actually the mastermind.

I've missed a ton of previous l&o and wiki doesn't do it justice (har har) but umm, what's the significance of Arthur Branch? like what'd he do to piss them off if that's what he did?

idr specifically what he was gonna do when he retired but I think it's the fact that he is being a whore for the private sector that's making mccoy go all ORLY

I dont think they were on particularly bad terms, didn't Branch support McCoy in his bid for reelection? He was mentioned in an episode last season.

Also has anyone else watched the first 5-6 episodes of L&O: UK? They're pretty much all Episodes from early seasons of L&O original, but seeing the UK justice system work is pretty neat.
