Depending on the rest of your gear and potency of shell on you, Askar could be redundant as you'd already be at the 50% cap. Something like capped shell5, Iron Ram Lance, Resentment Cape (if active), 2 Merman's Rings, and a Merman's Earring would put you at the 50% cap, making Iron Ram the better choice.

No, it not nearly that favor for turban max, even if assume 90% acc, you need haste >= 40% before headpiece for it to become better ignoring fstr that is; I swear you guys are getting to stupid point of 1% haste is > EVERYTHING. But yea ussually turban will be better but sometimes you don't have every haste buff so askar can be better, ie when you end up with sch instead of rdm or whm for something.
Also at mdkuser using pizza at everything isn't practical given pricing it's huge waste for some events, ie ENMs, ISNM, Nyzul, Einherjar, or Assault, or other short events.

501 + 17% haste = 415 delay 96 Dmg per hit
501 + 18% haste = 410 delay 95 Dmg per hit

Let's take it over 100,000 delay, at 95% acc for askar, 93.5% for turban.

21565 dmg turban

501 + 35% haste = 325 delay 96 Dmg per hit
501 + 36% haste = 320 delay 95 Dmg per hit

27936 dmg askar
28405 dmg turban

Gear + Hasso = 27%, Gear + Haste spell = 32%, Gear + Marches = 37%
Gear + DB = 42%, Gear + Hasso + Haste = 42%.

With JUST gear + haste, you BARELY do better with Askar assuming your acc is uncapped, and just ignoring all fStr except the +1 from the hat.

With Vbelt/homam/turban + haste, you do better even if you would have capped acc with Askar.


So no, we're not being stupid, Askar is a complete waste of time unless you're solo, which doesn't really matter anyways.

For polearm SAM on birds, /WAR vs /DRG:
20% haste from gear (+5% from earring if /DRG)
15% magic haste spell only (no songs)

/WAR unless you have a DNC who has 5/5 Haste samba merits and a good enough setup to be able to fulltime Hasso, in addition to Haste spell and 2 marches. In this case, Wyvern earring itself adds 25% damage.

Berserk is 30% more damage in uptime (bit less if you eat mithka's and not crab sushi), so 18% average. 10 double attack is roughly 10% more damage (bit less for TP but it also increases WS damage).

Eh, probably not.

Not sure what job you're talking about, but if its NIN, they really don't get access to a lot of good daggers that I can recall.

Mighty Knife is a great option, but only works 1/8 of the time (Damage38 on Windsdays)

Honestly your best bet is probably a Behemoth's Knife +1 or an Ermine's Tail, that dagger tha comes from MMM.

EDIT: Just saw your sig and realized you had NIN leveled. Ermine's Tail has 34 base damage and is free if you want to put some time into MMM. Dagger's not that bad either.

Personally, I duo good bit of stuff with sch, so it's relevant there since no other haste buffs unless I am hassoing. But ya if your doing party event with marchs, or haste it probably is better, but saying use it everywhere is simply gimping yourself out of laziness.

I'm not sure of the exact math behind it in terms of acc, I am aware (having a blau) that nin needs to sacrifice a noticeable amount of gear to support the acc deficit. I would say it isn't worth it and stick to sushi/senji/perdu or if for whatever reason you're getting madrigal mithkabob/senji/perdu.

If you wanted to pull off a dagger set up (you would probably need blau) you would need top of the line gear. I used hauby+1, 2x toreadors, bhaidate, cuch mantle, bomblet, and pcc (although in retrospect I guess I should have used love torque) and still came up with disappointing results.

Just my 2cents.

Specifically for Sidewinder, what is better: Scout's belt or Buccaneer's? Purely damage-wise. I have been arguing with someone that I think scout's belt would be better, but he's a RNG and says he did the math and Buccaneer's is better damage wise, anyone who knows what there talking about want to tell me? ^^
