So what are people doing for synergy specializations?

I was thinking fewell, thwacking, and safety lever, cuz those seem most likely to prevent explosions/speed up fewell and therefore give me the most time to perfect elements hoping for hq.

Does anything affect hq chance directly or do we even know?

Make some fisherman's cuffs for precision thwack and don't spend merits into thwacking. As for if thwacking merits help precision thwack I don't know, afaik no one has ever tested. I think I've done fewell feeding, safety lever, and furnace repair.

Are all the macaron equal? Was told they decrease base breakrate, but looking at them kitron is the most expensive (and abundant) whereas the other 2 are dirt cheap to produce.

My path:

59 hydro claws
64 platinum ingot (nugget)
70 platinum arrowheads
77 gold gauntlets
80 gold buckler
87 elemental beads
89 o.ingot
93 o.ring
95 jewel rings (if need)
102 elemental rings

I bought a truckload of gold/o.ingot ahead of time (been buyin them up for weeks) in preparation for my gold mule. Did the same for elemental ores.

Thanks for the advice. I can get a decent number of gold ingots fishing in abys-la thiene and turning them in for inside the belly, so hopefully that should alleviate some of the bleeding. As for the macarons PM Urat if you don't get an answer. He has his theory which I've never seen a reasonable test done on.

Anyone know if cursed mufflers are T0 or T1? Not sure about the gold sub D:

I have 25 stacks of gold ingot and 30 stacks of o.ingot just for the gold level and elemental rings. Might be overkill on the gold stage, but I can always sell it back later or convert some to GP. But these are all based on rag prices though, for which both ingots are 20k each. Each elemental ring should only ring in a loss of about 11k (40k ring + 5k bead, 34k NPC price).

Supplemented this somewhat by farming in konschtat: NPCing unwanted dark rings, keeping phyrgian ores to convert to ring/earring later, hoarding kuku/eve pops to merc drops, keeping elemental ores, etc. Usually come out with 500k in NPCables depending on length, and potentially some snazzy new rings for pdt/mdt sets. Also sold ocelot gloves for 1.5M yesterday, so if you have setup to proc blue that might be profitable as well.

I just want to get this clarified, been out of the crafting loop for a while. You can get +5 from GP, +2 from gear, +3 with support. to cap out at 110?

Anyone know the leathercraft subcraft cap on Coral Harness? I can't find that info anywhere and I'm 0/60 on HQ with 100+9 bone and 60 leather.

Edit: Swapped to leathercraft guild, got HQ support, 2/19 HQ. So must be between 50-52 leather sub.

I'm currently doing Syn to 70ish, I haven't merited anything yet so I'll make the Fisherman's cuffs and see if I notice any difference in Thwacking

Thwacking makes a noticeable difference but after I hit 80 I wish I could un-merit it.

Well in 100 Synergizes from Skill47-50 doing Platinum Leaf, I was able to successfully Twack every overload save for 10 using those gloves and no training in twacking. Having not had anything prior, I probably successfully thwack one time per synth, if that. I'm sorry it wasn't more empyrical but synergy is just so fun -_-

Gloves make a noticeable difference though

Ya precision thwack is pretty hot compared to regular thwack. Just posted in another thread, but id love to know if thwacking merits impact precision thwack or not because it's its own ability

When do I get to start hating the game? Between crafting for myself and linkshell members I'm 4/73/90 on Cursed Leggings -1. 5.5% HQ rate and 18.9% Break rate.. wtf?

Also, anybody have a confidence interval calculator, or the formulas?

That's perfect, thanks. Although.. it's really disheartening. Out of synths attempted: 18.09±7.78 Break rate, 04.26±4.08 HQ rate on cursed leggings... ; ;
