I never broke my Halcyon on any !'s, I thought Halcyon was ideal for most !'s, regardless of Stamina, and Composite was for bigger fish.

Not all !!!'s will be mobs. The Grimmonite will be down there and will be !!!'s. I think they will break the Halcyon pretty consistently, won't they?

Not sure myself, I had just started fishing there at skill lvl 14, had 3 rod breaks off the single !, high stamina before I learned to isolate nebs. I also caught 1, I can't recall the type of fish it was though, bastore bream maybe? Anyway, it sounds like midge has little to no fishing skill, and in my limited experience fishing, this is the only place I've broken halcyon.

went 0/48 synths on HQ ice staff (lv. 90~ woodworking) not doing it for gil, friend just wants signed staves, any reason for this (should be t1, unlisted subcraft?) or just terrible luck?

Sounds like shitty luck to me. 0/49 is my worst on a T1 (Genie Tiara), but then HQ'd like 3 in the next batch of 12, so evens out in the end (hopefully).

That is really shitty for ele staves, I generally average about 1/3 on em.

He said he's only level 90ish WWing, so he's T1, not the "regular" T2.

Anyone have a ballpark figure for the Cerb bow's bonecraft sub? I'm currently at 54 bonecraft and want to max out my HQ rate on it.

    Edit:

Also whats roughly the demand/usefullness of a haidate-1? Would no one want it and it'd never sell or would someone eventually buy it?

I don't wanna HQ something worth lots of money only to have it never sell. Its just theres 8 haidates on the AH right now so I'm tempted to stock up on em... >_> <_<

Yeah but Id rather not be crafting a 300K synth when Im only 1-2 levels above its sub skill when I could be 8 above. Just wanted to know if I can start getting on the crafting already or if I should hold off.

If people believe in crafting voodoo with current day, why do said individuals not go roaming zones for proper weather as well?

I don't see how this matters. Whether you're 1 level above, or 10 levels above it doesn't make a difference on the 5% break rate and T0 HQ rate.

Now I have read that is true but it seems silly to me since being 10 levels above something should make a difference and just simply putting tiers in crafting is just a bad idea. But this is SE we are talking about so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

4.9% break rate across 1300 attempts on a synth 80 levels below me says it's 5% regardless how much higher you are.

I know at least one person who goes all the way out to cloiser of flames when making expensive fire crystal synths

So break rate is also in tiers alongside HQ rate?

For multicraft items, break rates are cumulative with each involved craft. That means if an item has 3 crafts involved, find the break rate for each craft and sum them up.

    Thus, for each craftskill involved:
If your enhanced skill is at or above the recipe cap, the break rate is ~5%.
It's pretty simple, once you're above cap it's a 5% chance of break, if you're 1 above, or 99 above it's a 5% chance. If there are subcrafts each adds an additional 5%.
