If you watched the end after the credits roll, before the next episode spoiler, theres a scene with suou and her mom in the car, and her mom says that she can't be suou, because suou died 8 years ago. It's got me more interested in what's going on now. I'm going to say that since dad is a great scientist he cloned her somehow or something.

Pretty sure it's Shion's power

Hei killed their dad, yet he's alive and well with Shion a couple episodes later.

Suou has no scars from the meteor. Their dad has a huge scar and Shion lost an eye.

Easy explanation, Suou died. Two years before the start of the series Shion used his power to make a clone of Suou. That's why no info exists on her. His remuneration was to be a cripple for a significant amount of time (2 years)

After that ended (the first episode), he used his power again to make a clone of their dad, so that they could escape. Hei killed this clone.

Shion's power, by the meteor core, is to create things. Suou has a fragment of that core, and as a result, is able to use a fragment of Shion's power. Creating the rifle.

While that could be his power, and would explain why he's so important, I'm more inclined to believe that what they found in the house, was a Doll copy of the dad. There was a similar concept in S1, the first few episodes with that hooker chick that lived next door. Section 3 said they couldn't extract any memories, although that could be because of how Hei killed him.

His father's reaction (or lack of) at the end of episode 8 make me think he kept the doll/clone. He seemed a bit more emotional before. A simple "nod" when your kid order you around, especially right after he shot someone isn't normal.

Izanagi/Izanami's thing is starting to make a lot of sense now, when you consider the mythology. Izanagi (Shion) creates people, and Izanami (Yin) kill them. I've no clue where they want to go with them though, and who is this "being" that would come out of hell gate if both meet.

That is a quite awesome theory, but I think it might be much simpler than that. Suou/Shion's Father was researching ME (memory erasing). I think it more likely that he snuffed out the memories of one of his kids to protect them. That would explain why nobody even seems to KNOW that he has two kids.

Of course, who the hell even knows with this Anime... I still don't think I even understood everything that happened in season 1, let alone understand enough to predict season 2.

I don't know, it sound more plausible in the context (izanagi/izanami) that Shion can create people.

Izanami fails to do so, but promises to kill a thousand of his people every day. Izanagi retorts that a thousand and five hundred will be born every day.

Also, in the very first scene this season, the wounded Shion was calling out for suou after the meteorite crash..it sound very possible that she was killed at that time. With the huge payment after, there is very high probability that he is creating clone/dolls.

This episode was full of wayyyy too much backstory and explanation. Loved it. Explains the Suou stuff and even a bit more about Mao since I'm sure plenty of us wanted to know what happened to him prior to season 1 (his being stuck as a cat)
