BG: Take a min to look at this Blog thing I've been working on

Summary: Pretty much no one cares to read the junk that people have to say about something when an external link is involved, - they just click it to get on with it already.
There are many user generated sites (Digg, N4G etc...) that are flooded with content that many could care less about.
My goal is to filter and hand pick pages, articles, videos, anything posted on the web that is of use or interest to a somewhat broad group of internet users.

So far I have been a little off and on with this project, not knowing if I'm waisting my time or if anyone would actually find this useful.

Comments, suggestions please.

Well, I enjoyed the balloon boy/On a Boat mashup, so it works for me. Unfortunately, hand picking memes is less effective then letting Digg, etc. do it for you.

From a quick look, it seemed very cluttered. Not easy on the eyes.

The middle column seems unnecessary (to relate to the above guys point about clutterness). If you're able to move that, I think it would work better under the right column as maybe a drop box if you can do that. Seems like a nice idea other than the graphic look.

depends how regularly it was updated i suppose, good things like this always start out nice then end up going down in flames a fair amount of the time because of inactivity
