Do I stop book 2 of Malazan or finish then start Oatbringer. (I'm really into MBotaF but want oto get back to characters from book1)

What no, keep going with book 2. It's end is pretty stand alone so you it's a good place to break for oathbringer. Fantasy books don't get much better than Deadhouse Gates.

I'm stating Oathbringer tonight. Office buddy is finishing up WoR tonight and he's starting Oathbringer also. We've mentioned getting bridge 4 tattoos a couple time. We might end up with them before is over.

Picked it up today and went to Wikipedia to refresh my memory on the first two books only to realize I didn't remember a whole lot of things about those two books. So I guess I'm gonna start over with Way of Kings today instead.

It also means I gotta worry about damaging the book. I didn't get the book itself signed, but it was the one I chose to put the sticky plate on after forgetting to bring it when I saw him. Oh well.

I'd been reading the weekly pre-release chapters, so now re-reading them is hard when I just want to skip ahead to the new stuff. Of course the book had to release while I'm in the middle of moving. "Pack? Sure, be there in a minute or so... ish"

Edit:Looks like he has slowed down some with Stormlight being larger books. He's also released some non Cosmere stuff.

Also next year when Alloy of Law #4 comes out, it's going to be a split between "Liked it"/"Hated it"/"Didn't read it; Fuck Wax & Wayne & Marasi" responses.

Enjoyed Wax and Wayne as much as the original trilogy. I'm interested in seeing where Scadrial goes after reading Secret History.

I have to stay away from Reddit until I finish Oathbringer.

I did NOT enjoy Wax and Wayne as much as the original series, but did not hate it as much as some BGers. I do wish there was a little more tie-in to the original series.

I mean the Bands of Mourning are pretty much linked to the Lord Ruler. Don't know how much more you can tie-in since the remaining links are opposing religious factions in either the Church of the Survivor or Pathism, and the remaining kandra still doing their thing. And Hoid. Always Hoid doing his worldhopper stuff.

You should have picked up that the person they were describing and the spear and all that, it wasn't the Lord Ruler. It's been a while but the very last passage ,
where the guy looks down at his scared hands are a hint.

Read the Secret History and you'll probably be more excited about the upcoming Mistborn additions.
