These past few weeks I have finally got through quite a few books that I have been meaning to get through.

Lord of the Rings - Return of the King (read halfway through it a few months ago and had to put it away when I got too busy)
Dune (original book, loved it and will be reading the rest eventually)
Ender's Game (no words can express how much I loved it)
Speaker for the Dead (Only decided to read this once I finished Ender's Game, and I haven't been disappointed in the slightest. I think I am going to try and finish up at least the 2 other books in this direct series before I go back to Dune)

It's been so long since I've read for pleasure rather than the constant reading for learning I had honestly forgotten what it was like to not be able to put down a book

I think I remember Qal saying he was a big fan of Shadow/Bean series from Ender's Game, might check it out whenever I get around to Speaker for the Dead.

Especially when you put the book down and go; "oh shit I forgot I was here, like I was seriously somewhere else when I was reading"

Just finished Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai.
I knew the Japanese were a little crazy, but I had no idea they were so eagerly murderous and suicidal. Every other story it seemed like somebody was either getting their head cut off or opening up their guts and then getting their head cut off. One guy even stuffed a book up into his guts while on fire...voluntarily. What a bizarre mindset.

Finished Halting State and The Merchant Princess series by Charles Stross. Going to read The Omen Machine by Terry Goodkind whenever it hits the net.

Little help from those who are fantasy book inclined:

I tend to end up re-reading the same books instead of trying out new ones. And while like the majority, I enjoy Jordan and Martin, i'm looking for something along the reins of either David Eddings books or Raymond E. Feist, or Sanderson's Mistborn series, or Melanie Rawn's earlier books. Can I get some suggestions for books like those?

Try some Dave Duncan. Either A Man of his Word or the Tale of the King's Blades series.

Been reading the dark tower recently.

The first and second books were so bizarre they were awesome, but the third book kinda sucked. Everything involving
    Spoiler: show
the insane train felt pretty silly.

I also dislike the fact that whenever our universe comes into picture, there's apparently nothing but the good ol' US of A. It feels like there's so much wasted potential because King is afraid to leave his comfort zone or whatever. It waters down the experience once it got old (makes me wish it was just a traditional fantasy universe instead of a Sponsored by McD's-universe)

Now I'm anticipating a proper S.K. ending that makes you want to strangle a kitten with its bullshit. I can only hope it's not as bad as the ending of The Cell.

I just finished the Magician King by Lev Grossman. I enjoyed it a fair bit and if anybody read the first book, The Magicians.. it's a friendly reminder that the sequel just came out

Not really about a book I'm reading, but about books my little sister shall be reading!
I used to read Goosebumps alot when I was younger. My mom got rid of them all. My little sister got into them recently and I saw this on Ebay and couldn't pass it up.
I'm honestly really surprised I got it with only 1 bid at that price. Really actually made me wonder if it was a scam, but I read the description like 20 times lol
Got Goosebumps books 1 - 62 for $50, which is like $320 less than retail.

There's a good chance you're going to hate it far, far more than the ending of the Cell. I didn't hate it, but a whole lot of people really did. It's very Lost-like in how polarizing the reactions were to its ending.

Well, I liked Lost ending, so I guess there's hope!

All I want is closure, not "the revolverman and the Evil Villain face each other... The two men charge, to deliver the finishing blow-

    THE END"

    Fucking cell.

Just finished The Name of The Wind, starting book two of The Kingslayer Chronicle (The Wise Man's Fear) tomorrow.
