Changes by Jim Butcher is a VERY good book. You have to wonder how much he intends to mess with Dresdens' life.

Starting through Anne McCaffrey's Dragonrider series again - been years and years since I read them, and they remind me of being 11 and cracking open my first novel by her. <3

Sadly now I'm older I'm somewhat more sceptical of some aspects, but still loving it. Brilliant light reading.

Just finished a load of books on Holiday, I will give a star rating for each:

    http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...le4WYfK0n5HD0=
    Hunter S Thompson - Hell's Angels
Great read. 4 out of 5

    http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...-ANWlq5YSboZI=

    Brilliant Orange - David Winner
Fantastic recap of Dutch footballing based on Dutch history and politics. 5 out of 5.

    http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...w37xRYiwdFW_k=

    Bukowski - Women
Not his best, by far. Ham On Rye and Post Office are much, much better. 3 out of 5.

    http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...QN_8ugztBBV_w=

    Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451
My favourite book for the last 20 or so years. I just re-read it to see if it would change as I'm growing a bit older. It hasn't. It is pure magic. 6 out of 5.

    http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...BC18O4BV8ukco=

    Vonnegut - Cat's Cradle
Another re-read to see if one of my favourites could hold up to my changing personality. Unfortunately, it's not as good as it was when I was younger, but still fun to read. 5 out of 5

    http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...Zy-Bn267LhmGo=

David Lindsey - A Voyage to Arcturus
I had been putting this off for a long time. That was a mistake. This book is so amazing. One of the best fantasy books ever written. 5 out of 5.

    http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...dNluhCrkpUC9Y=

Inverting the Pyramid - A brief History of Footballing Tactics.
It's an academic-style look at footballing tactics (soccer tactics for you Americans). It's dry, it's historic, and it's flat-out boring throughout most of the text. However, it does a very great job of detailing the process of tactics through the world's sport. Not for the faint-of-heart! 2 out of 5.

    http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...ysPMVZ9_0GlgQ=

John Fire Lamedeer - Seeker of Visions
Phenomenal insight into Native Americans post-treaty on reservations in the west, etc. Having read and loved Black Elk Speaks a long time ago, I found this to be much more informative as well as the fact that the voice of Lame Deer being a kind of voice of the Native American people, rather than the stoic voice of Black Elk. The text is superb and you really get a feel for the ironic humour of Lame Deer and his colleagues. I enjoyed this very much. 5 out of 5.

    http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...KtNhpkF0sZX4U=

David Lynch - Catching the Big Fish
This probably shouldn't even be here, as it took me around 20 minutes to fully read, but it's well worth a look (even though it's only in hard-cover and isn't cheap). It's a very basic/brief look at how David Lynch changed his craziness into creativity with TM. Worth a look for anyone that is interested. 4 out of 5.

    Currently Reading:

    http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...GmgEW5MeU6wBc=

Very good slapstick-style satire. Published long after its author had committed suicide due to the inability to get his book published, his mother fought to have it published, and it ended up winning the Pulitzer prize in 1981.

    http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...5YacwCnpjFjUk=

Kafka on the Shore - Murakami
many people here would love this book by the now famous Japanese surrealist writer.

Just finished Hitchhikers Guide. Was good but not a fan of the ending (and sad that there won't ever be any more)

Those books are not about where they end, but where you went on the way there. Epic series.

While very true and I love the series, the end is the last thing I read and it just leaves me sour. D: The real sad part is there won't be any more.

Just went through Arthur C. Clarke's Rama series last week, wish to hell I had just stopped after book #1 (which was brilliant), read Childhood's end yesterday, The Songs of Distant Earth 2 days ago, The Centauri Device (M.John Harrison) 3 days ago, and am currently reading Timescape (Greg Benford), on a classical scifi rampage. Liked Childhood's end, The Songs of Distant Earth was ok, really didn't like The Centauri Device (don't think my visual imagination was up to the task), rather enjoying timescape at the moment, I wasn't aware that some of the physics concepts were that old.

HHGTTG is Adams' gift to mankind (When I first started reading it, Starcraft was fairly new, so in my mind, the Vorgon ships looked just like the Protoss cruisers, only modified slightly to fit with the overall purpose of the Vorgons current visitation to earth)

As for Stephen Kings' Dark Tower series, and Under the dome... avoid, seriously, reread Firestarter or The Langoliers again instead <3

Just finished "Lemon" by Lawrence Krauser. Even though it was largely because of how it is written rather than the actual plot, I absolutely loved it. It kind of blows my mind that he drew the book jacket illustrations for the first 10,000 copies by hand; one of which I'm lucky enough to have.

great book if your a fan of modern-day culture. it's split up in to a bunch of different essays he has written, he can come off a bit pretentious at times, but it's worth a read if your a fan of pop culture, or are a fan of looking way to in to things.

It's been good so far. I'm only halfway through it at the moment.

Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series is quite excellent. My only gripe with the book is the newest one isn't out yet QQ
