A Little Order by Evelyn Waugh

Just put this one down. It is/was supposedly the inspiration for the rumored 4th Pirates of the Carribean movie, so I grabbed a copy.
It's an enjoyable book. The writing style is fast, yet descriptive. I enjoyed it, and I'm not typically a fan of pirates. This one had some fantasy elements and voodoo themes that made it a pretty cool atypical pirate book.
Just read Worst Case in 2 days, really good book despite being able to see the ending from a million miles away. James Patterson is my favorite writer `-'

Dexter book is so much fun to read being able to put faces and voices to the characters.
Basic Writings of Frederich Nietzsche. Watchmen and Philosophy.
Picked books up 5 and 6 of the Codex Alera series today. Might re-read ASoIaF after. I remember reading somewhere that Book 3 of The Gentleman Bastard Sequence is coming out next year though we might see an earlier release depending on the publisher.
A Dance with Dragons needs to be fucking released like now. Also Changes in April woooo!
I'd like to get into R.A. Salvatore but I've no clue where to begin lol

Almost couldn't get past the cockgobbling early 90's. Redeemed itself a little bit with the bits about death metal and Sepultura, just getting to Black Metal section.
Edit: lol fuck this guy. Speaking of Emperor after In the Nightside Eclipse and Black Metal in general: "The destructive impulse had been placated by rock stardom, or simply through natural maturity." This coming from the guy that had two pages praising the black album.
So based on the suggestions and reading the Wiki on Chuck Palahniuk I'm going to start reading his books. Loved the Fight Club movie but don't really want to read the book, not because I don't think I would enjoy it but just because I haven't read much lately and would rather have an original story that I know nothing about. Would starting with "Choke" be good or should I start with a different book and work my way to Choke?
They're all good, but imo, it Rant is best, Pygmy is worst, everything else is pretty good.
Finished the Lies of Locke Lamora. Was pretty good although I didn't like the begining.
Wheel of Time still haunts me as mostly unreadable but I'm giving it another go.
Halfway through the new Jim Butcher book (Changes), absolutely solid so far.
I'm reading the entire LOTR storyline because I never read it, saw the movies thought they were -ok- and a few friends said they were good books. Reading The Hobbit now when I have time at work, so only a chapter or 2 a day since I've been busy, then moving on the Lord of the rings set and doing the salmanilla or whatever it's called after that.
I'm just finishing the second Mistborn book. I'm sad with how this ending D:
Pygmy was awesome. All of his books besides Survivor/Invisible Monsters are pretty epic fuckwin (those 2 only got published cause of his fight club success, he wrote them before it). I'd start with those 2 first though I guess, see how his writing has progressed since his writing has gotten more and more experimental (Rant, Snuff, and Pygmy as prime examples). Otheriwse, I would read Fight Club though, the ending is different (although Palahniuk says he likes the movie's better, underneath it all hes a huge fucking softy and most of his books have an ending that betrays his nihilism to some degree). Overall though I would say that I enjoyed the book equal to the movie (they are really two different telling of the same story so its worth checking out, there is enough of a difference between the two that you won't be bored.)
Tell All is like ~1 month away too, looking forward to it
just finished these
this was pretty enjoyable
