basically a fan wrote a letter to AS, quoting brandon as saying "I don't watch any of the shows on adult swim". To which AS replied simply "no comment". Not even their usual snarky humor. It came of as really cold and stand-offish. I could be reading more into this than is actually there, but it worries me for the future of the show. Metalocalypse is easily one of my current favorites.

Well like Komm said, I'm sure as long as the show makes money, they'll keep on funding it, and Brendon saying he doesn't watch AS isn't the same as saying he doesn't like working with them.

I'd say probably 90% of those who work for Adult Swim don't watch Adult Swim.
most of their shows are complete and utter garbage, and the vast majority of their viewers after the 1st 1-2 hours of their programming are either stoned/drunk out of mind, or fell asleep with their tv on.

I kind of just turn it on as background noise when playing games and will just watch the few good shows on it.

They've aired it a buncha times over the past couple weeks and every time it's on I laugh my balls off... usually at 1AM waking up my landlord.

I know I've seen interviews some musical artists who've been quoted saying they purposely avoided listening to music of similar genres as well to try to keep themselves coming up with original stuff and not copying off their labelmates, etc, it could even have been a comment with similar intentions.

Aside from the fact that there's like only 2 new episodes of anything on AS per week at best generally, 1 of the 2 currently being Metalocalypse, I'm sure he has too much shit on his plate to give a fuck about Family Guy reruns that get played 10 times a week on 4 different channels.

When did they change the programming format for Adult Swim anyway? I coulda sworn that new Metalocalypse was always on Sunday nights, but they used to play reruns during the week. Now I turn on AS, I watch Family Guy and then nothing else is worth my time other than Robot Chicken. Further more, AS needs to get back some damn good anime for Saturday nights...

The fictitious yet wonderfully satirical cartoon band Dethklok have became a headlining act on the road, released two bigger albums and exposed a whole new pack of people to jokes about Dimmu Borgir. The third season of the TV show 'Metalocalypse' -- called 'The Dead Man,' due to the life altering effects the assassination of their manager has upon them -- debuted back in November when the show's episodes jumped from the 11-minute mark to 21 minutes long.

On Nov. 2, the DVD will be released as well as a jam packed Blu-ray -- a first for the show.

"We're all very excited about the Blu-ray thing because we produce the show at a really high resolution. Finally people will get to see how hard our art director works!" said co-creator Brendon Small.

Exclusive special features to the Blu-ray consist of Nathan Explosion reading from William Shakespeare's 'Othello' and five music videos that were featured on Dethklok's last tour, among other things. Both versions contain extended scene features, Facebones background art tour and a feature called 'Skwisgaar and Nathan ordering at the drive-thru.
