    Conserve TP

So has anyone augmented there Shantotto legs with this yet?

Im curious as to how it works, wiki states it lowers TP costs of WSes, and may or may not do the same for dances as well.

So is this a perma effect like fast cast, or a occasionally procing effect for n amount 5% of the time like conserve mp?

It would make the most sense to me if Conserve TP just lowered the cost of dances & didn't affect weapon skills.

Allowing you to "save" tp from weapon skills, then adding more tp from the hits off the weapon skill itself would be broken.

Someone posted hearsay in the ASA thread that it reduced the cost of WS randomly. A Samurai Gekko'd and had 30 TP left or something, apparently?

I don't feel like digging through that thread for the post though, as I'm skeptical.

If this does proc on WSes it would be pretty sick for dancer.

Would let me WS and not have that awkward 5 seconds of being helpless with 0 tp...

Eh needs more testing. I'd say that person didnt have a 6 hit > got a swing off during WS animation > saw 30TP there > /l HAY YOU GUYZ! Conserve TP works on WS lawlz.

Would probably be easy to test with some blinding potions. If I recall all the potions induce the effect at 100%.

You sure it's not a typo on the website, or does it actually give the choice of "Conserve TP" on the pants when choosing the augments...

my friend already done a ton of testing, it's simply teh same as conserve mp concept.

you still need at least 100 tp to unleash the ws, it's just the amount used isn't the full percentage anymore

How often does it happen? 5%, similar to if this was Conserve MP gear?
How much TP is kept? Is it random like Conserve MP, or always the same when it happens?

    More details would be nice.

Some info from Alla, related to DNC usage:

Last night, I completed ASA and chose the Desultor Tassets and augmented them with Waltz TP cost -5 and Conserve TP for my DNC. I thought I would report the results of a bit of testing.

First of all: The waltz TP down augment does not allow you to use a waltz if you do not have sufficient TP to use it. The cost reduction applies after you waltz, i.e.:

-- No Foot Rise for 3 Finishing Moves = 48 TP with full Reverse Flourish merits.
-- I was not able to use Curing Waltz III, which costs 50 TP.
-- When I got 50 TP, I used Curing Waltz III and it cost me 45 TP.

As for Conserve TP, I ran out to Vunkerl Inlet [S] as DNC/SAM and poked some crabs. I built TP to 300% (mostly because I fail at immediate mental arithmetic) and used Curing Waltz IV. For those that don't know: Curing Waltz IV costs 65 TP normally. With the waltz TP augment, it costs 60 TP when used.

Basically, after using CW4 at 300% 127 times, I did not see any reduction in TP. Not even once. However, before I actually started counting my waltzes, I did see one reduced Curing Waltz III for 38 TP. Make of that what you will.

I'm not really surprised. I think it does work like Conserve MP, but it will make absolutely zero difference over time. I think I might redo the fight and replace it with something else. >>; The Waltz TP down, despite not working in the way I initially imagined it would, seems pretty good -- especially when you get into the swing of things.

    Anyway, hope this helps.

So.... conserve TP is a bust or needs more testing?

I couldn't be convinced to give up my legs for something as minor as this. Maybe a less important slot could justify itself, like an earring.

Maybe if you could stack it it'd be effective for DNC? Seems pretty lulzworthy ATM to me.

Can anyone test if it can proc on BLU's Chain Affinity? Could be useful if it does.

I've actually been able to use a waltz if i meet the requirements after the -5 from the augment. It's not selectable via menu (says i dont have enough TP), but a macro will execute the ability
