Win7 family pack upgrade question

Greetings,

Ive read a lot about this deal but I can't seem to find exactly what I want to know. I would be upgrading from win XP. The copy I have was given to me by a friend who worked at his college's library. Its a 'pro-coroprate' edition. I always assumed it was one of those copies that has like an unlimited key useage or whatever. Anyway, how much of XP do you have to install before you can start using the Win7 disk? Anyone know? And how important is that XP key for the upgrade?

When you upgrade from XP the XP part is completly gone because you have to format the drive

So the CD key for XP is gone and all that stuff

I was looking into buying this as well, it's a good deal.

My dad needs one, i need to upgrade, and my sister needs a copy when I put her new pc together.
