That's the best round up of the features they were talking about (although that's and old article)

There is hardly any tickle love here!

Also, I had never heard of Yarnlog before, only link I found was http://forums.windower.net/topic/123...r-requesthelp/

    Looks interesting, for sure.

What's the difference between Yarnball and StatusTimer, btw?

Yarnball is for other people, so on my RDM I get a read out on screen something like:

    Tank1Name (haste): 2:31
    Tank2Name (haste): 2:25
    Tank1Name (Refresh): 1:45
    Tank2Name (Refresh): 1:30
    Healer1Name (Refresh): 1:15

Makes it easier to maintain haste/refresh cycles while doing other things. It works for more buffs you cast on other people.

Status timer just covers your own buffs.

Plugins I load on a regular basis:

    load TParty
    load Distance
    load Recast
    load LightLuggage
    load TimeStamp
    load DrawDistance
    load SSOrganizer
    load ConsoleBG
    load Logger
    load StatusTimer
    load Silence
    load ZoneTimer
    load Expwatch
    load Spellcast

The window_togglefullscreen feature is also a must for me. I play with a PC hooked up to a 1080p HDTV, but playing the game at 1920x1080 resolution makes the log text too small for viewing from my sofa. Setting the resolution to 1280x720 and using window_togglefullscreen has been the perfect combination short of being able to separate the chat/status information resolutions from the rest of the game display.

I won't be making a switch without Spellcast, to be honest.

    In order for me:
    1 Spellcast
    2 Recast
    3 Yarnball

    Without those 3, I'd stay with 3.x

Things that are nice to have, that I'd play without:
    1 Cancel
    2 LightLuggage
    3 TParty
    4 Silence
    5 ExpWatch
    6 Logger
    7 BlinkMeNot

Things that I load that I could live without:
    1 TimeStamp
    2 Distance
    3 SSOrganizer
    4 PlasticSurgeon
    5 StatusTimer

Those would be the bare minimums for me personally. Though I'd really also like to see:

    Expwatch
    Drawdistance
    CFHProtect
    Lightluggage
    Logger
This guy pretty much covered it http://bluegartr.com/forum/images/icons/mmithra.png

my 4 faves. useful in that order, somewhat.. I don't really need TParty but I'm so used to it being there I don't normally ever look at the normal place where TP is supposed to be displayed anymore..

Also, I use IME input tool alot, but I don't think its actually a plug-in but another 3rd party tool, so idk

    Must-haves:

    Yarnball
    Recast
    TParty
No need to rewrite current Windower macros

    Would-likes:

    ExpWatch
    LightLuggage
    TimeStamp

Don't really care about Spellcast, it hovers a bit too close to the "play the game for you" line for me so I never got too into it.

Same with silence/chatmon. Do a few lines in the chatlog bother you all that much?

If you really can't live without them then fair enough, but this is supposed to be an absolute minimum feature set. Putting down every plugin you ever use ever is not going to help the windower team.

    Must Haves:
Spellcast, TParty, Timestamp, Cancel, StatusTimer, IME, ChatMon (triggers)

    Like to Haves:
Blinkmenot, Yarnball, Recast, Light Luggage, Logger

    Eventually Haves:
Infobar, Expwatch, Distance, Silence, CFHProtect, Chatmon (spam filtering)
I love that you criticize what people consider to be "must-haves" and then list StatusTimer, TimeStamp, ChatMon and Cancel. I would trade in all of these just to get Recast, let alone Yarnball.

I have a few questions. Is Azaril off of V.4 now? Are you working from what Azaril has already started or are you starting new? Do we have a time line for V.4 release (I know this is a dangerous thing to ask, because even a general idea will be turned into an iron deadline by some)? What features do YOU (nitsuj) want to work on for V.4?

Most importantly, will you be providing all of the features that Azaril had promised?

So tell me, in order for you to download Windower v4.0, uninstall 3.4x and use it for your daily day-to-day gameplay...

    - What features does it HAVE to have (either ones that v3 has or doesn't have)
    - What plugin functionality MUST it support (TParty, Recast etc)

I'm not asking for pipe dreams, or "ideal world" scenarios. I'd like to know what are the minimum requirements for v4 to replace v3.

    Go!

    (thanks)
Thank you for asking, here are the minimum requirements for me.

Windower v4 maps my keyboard as a "qwerty" one; my keboard is an "azerty" (I'm a French Player using an American Account).

I'm using SpellCast, Cancel, Distance and TParty.

While I understand the hesitancy to move without spellcast, if nitsuj can get v.4 to do half of what Azaril promised there will be a FREAKING STAMPEDE to v.4.

Ohhh... not really a plugin, but to amend my earlier statements, I'd like fillmode 0 and fillmode 1 options!

Also, why would you use the G15 binder rather than just binding //ja "Jump" <t> to macro set 1, G1? Just so that you can bind Alt/Shift/Ctrl to the G keys?

As much as I want this myself, as I understand it, this just isn't possible. Well, isn't possible without being completely obvious that you are doing it to SE or making it so that you lose time because of the short internal cool down on all attempted JA's.

A Yarnball that works with sleep :3

Or even better, let Yarnball be editable by user so you dont have to add every spell, and users could just add .yarnball Sleep II 90

I'm not seeing much love for G15 binder here.

Reading the features in ringthree's blog post, I'd probably switch if it had those features plus:
    Recast
    Yarnball
    Distance
    Chatmon
    TParty
    G15 Binder

Losing any of those plug-ins effects how I play any more. Or in the case of chatmon, sanity and convenience. I'd like to see fillmode and the ability to hide windower stuff on screenshots make a return too, if possible. Draw distance is not as important, but would be nice to have.

    Edit:

Never tried it honestly, if it works at any time then I wouldn't have a use for the binder. As it is, the binder can execute macros while you have menus open or are in the middle of typing something.
