Lujan's still around. He just works a shit ton. He's like... a manager or some shit. He had been playing WoW and FFXI off and on, but I don't think he really has much time for MMOs atm. I need to talk to him more often.

I could probably write a novel about my experience in this game if I wanted to take the time. I think I had tons of pages when I wrote about everything from my first 2 years 4 years ago. I think it's been about 4 months since I've done anything at all in this game. I remember when being logged off for 2 days would create a linkshell panic about a regular.

Another sad thing is that there are far more people that I recognize in this thread than those that would be left on Bahamut in-game

I kept my account active, but went to WoW and joined a good guild for the time. I kept playing that until there was some guild drama that broke the guild. I was playing FFXI outside of WoW raids about 6 months after I stopped playing in early 2006. I did some endgame FFXI until early 2008 when that linkshell died. After that, I just leveled and 6-boxed things.

tbh, the game died for me when I walked my 3rd account, a WAR (w/ bare essentials; subs and gear) through all of the game's content and realized the wasted years chasing after the best possible gear were pointless and unnecessary. I knew this before then, but after proving it to myself, I just lost interest in this game.

Still, if it weren't as difficult as it was when I quit, to get game content done which required 3+ people, I would redo missions and quests again (I pride myself on having done ALL missions and quests). I guess 6 boxing like Ryany did is another option, but that's a level of obssessed I'm not ready to take up.

Ugh nostalgia.

-Skipping thursday/friday of school to get the game as soon as gamestop opened and playing. Originally got on Fairy, but was convinced to come to Bahamut to join mogi. I was reluctant because I got to level 4 in a day with a spear, as a taru, in sarutabaruta.

-Meeting Bert in sandoria on like day 1 or 2, and watching him level exponentially faster than anyone else. never really knew laine personally.

-joining BG as a lvl 60 taru DRG, on my first day having edward and co help me get my drg helm. little did i know that i would never be of any real use to the LS, fuckin drgs lol.

-Subbing in for wheeling thrust on sky gods, then resting with whatever that item was to gain tp, 25 per item, and repeating. later i would level ranger and for a while be one of the better equipped ones, only to have it gimped miserably.

and many, many ventrilo memories. honestly, vent was the best part of ffxi, bar none.

Too easy to go on and on.

i fucked up a whole semester to get a ridill. then got banned shortly after. sometimes i'd stretch my playtime to 25-hrs non stop.
