I think you should punch your dad in the dick.

All in all a pretty good haul. Apparently there is a printable coupon for target that gives $5 off Blurays, which I plan to go raid some $10 Blurays tomorrow to get them for half off (if any are still around)
Also ended up canceling my pre-orders for Bioshock 2 CE/FF13, then re-ordering to get an additional $20 off with the Discover Card Promotion.
Got a good hauling this year.
At Walmart I got a 12 Megapixel digital camera and 2 DSs for my sister, while my parents got a GPS for my car. Then at Menards grabbed a portable jump start for my car (in case my battery dies this year) and my dad got an electric high pressure washer.
I spent nearly 3 grand this year. I got myself five compaq netbooks for 229$ each, a Sony Vio laptop with a builtin bluray for 479$, a HP Pavillion Desktop/Monitor for 499$, 2 PS3 299$ bundles, 1 Nintendo DSi mario bundle for 169$, and a bunch of other little things. Of course, this isn't all for me. Only thing I got for myself was one of the PS3 bundles. I camped out at Best buy at wednesday night around 10:30. I thought I would be first in line, but there were some people who were there since monday. I teamed up with another group who wanted a lot of stuff and they gave me the vouchers to purchase the 5 netbooks, and I have them vouchers to get the laptops. I got a total of 5 hours of sleep through two days. Can't wait untill next year, this one had great deals and was fun.

Saving $1000 wouldn't justify me being in line for 2-4 days. No way. When I got some Aquos HDTVs a couple Black Fridays ago, we saved about 2 grand, and waiting in line for 18 hours almost killed it for me. Not worth it.
One thing I noticed this year was that stores are carrying absurd amounts of stock. One of our local morning radio shows sent an intern to best buy, and he said it wasn't that bad, they still had everything advertised in stock by the time he got in. I got to Target this morning at about 15 minutes before the doors opened and I had to be 2,000+ deep into the line. When I walked back to the back, they still had mounds and mounds of HDTVs. My wife got to Wal-Mart about 10 minutes before they opened, and she got everything we wanted from there. She said the item most fought over was the $3 pajamas.
From what I could gather, Toys R Us was the worst place to be. They opened the doors at midnight, and my mom said it was the worst experience she's had.
