Another building a new PC thread

Hi. I posted recently here: bluegartr.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83686 but decided to scrap that project. I am, however, still in the market for making a PC. I've already decided to go with the HD Radeon 5850, but need help picking out what else I should go with. Like I said in the last thread, I'm still interested in upgrading to an i9 when they come out. My budget is $1200, not including a monitor, video card or OS. The computer is mainly for gaming. Thanks in advance.

posted a build I made in a similar thread http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showp...31&postcount=4 Is the i9s going to be out on the LGA 1366 socket? I initially heard that, but more recently heard about a new socket coming out also, so idk.

tbh though, your build in your original thread is fine for what you want, not sure why you're scrapping it.

Since I'm not too computer savvy, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't gonna blow something up by putting all these parts together.

    How does that sound?

Edit: As far as I know, the i9s are still going to be socket 1366, but what you read is probably more recent.

Everything looks good.. power supply may be a bit much, you could scale back to a 550-600W if you want.

    Thank you.

I have a dumb question though. Will using an EVGA mobo conflict in any way with the video card I have listed?
