I know this is basic, but I need some help from the all-knowing BG! :D

Ok! I downloaded windower 3.41 from www.windower.net

I'm having trouble getting it to work at all. I went to the live chat help, and they told me to download Recast to fix the problem, which I don't want (and which I didn't need before. Windower used to work just fine without it!).

What can I do?

Delete the old recast then. The old one is what's causing the game to crash or at least it normally is.

Just open your init.txt, find the line that says "Load Recast" and delete it if you don't plan on using Recast anyway.

Recast is on by default, so either remove it from your init file or upgrade it.

I expected a more easily explained answer. I didn't understand their wording. I know, weird, and probably even stupid. But I needed to hear it phrased differently.

Option A: waste a bunch of time screaming at the OP for no reason other than missing the point behind what the windower tech support told him/her and the "wasting of your time" of which you are wasting 10x more by making a random caustic remarks to satisfy one's need to be a dick.

Option B: answer what was wrong in far less time and be done with it.
