Looking for more Tactical Strategy Games.

Examples of games I really like, basically two lines of games:

PC- Master of Orion 2, Civ 2/3/4/etc.
Console- Shining Force, Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem, etc.

Any other good games? I've heard of Disgaea, going to look into checking that out. But looking for games more similar to the ones listed.

Disgaea I'm really not sure you'll like. It's not really strategical, it's a lot more... grind, grind grind grind, level 9999, do 2000000000000000 damage. Unless you like that sort of thing, but.. yeah.

I can't really think of any others atm but I'll post if I remember. Interested in what others may have to suggest, though, as I'm a big fan of these kinds of games, too.

Yeah, of course I've done FFT, though I'll be honest...I kinda like some of the others more. FFT has the storyline and great world, but you don't get as much building/planning as the other games. And Orlandu, as awesome as he is, totally breaks the game, lol. I consider Tactics Ogre to be superior to FFT because it's the same battle system with much better building of characters, FFT was based off of TO, if anyone didn't know.

And I very much prefer the fantasy atmosphere, MoO2 is pretty much my big exception.

Sins of a Solar Empire. Yes you said you liked fantasy but you also liked MoO2, so this is worth a glance.

If you want old school go get a copy of the old Heroes of Might & Magic games.

I've played HoMM3-5 and enjoyed them a fair bit. Not sure I can go back to 1/2 because they're sooooo old now, heh. Going to check out Sins of a Solar Empire.

Your likes in PC Tactical games fall under the 4X subgenre, so look that up if you want similar games, such as some of the ones mentioned (like Sins of a Solar Empire).

FFT/FFTA/FFTA2 are all pretty fantastic imo.

possibly Knights in the Nightmare, which is a bit more odd

What consoles are you looking at here? Valkyria Chronicles is an awesome Strategy RPG on the PS3, if you haven't tried it out.

Vandel Hearts? I wouldn't do it usually, but Vagrant story (just play it if you haven't awesome game).

Gonna second Vandal Hearts, it's my favorite SRPG.
