Pulled groups of 4 and 5 for 3+ hours and no pop. No sign of his death position anywhere, we gave up on him.

Friends were up trying to pop him for a few hours on Sunday but no dice. Probably just bad luck but figured I'd mention it.

I've only recently started using AP radar but I've killed him since the evolith addition. It took 20 minutes to pop him. I wasn't able to find his corpse pre-killing him either. I assumed that it was normal.

Since some people don't seem to know, lottery pop means it rolls a random number each time for it to pop when the window is open, if it does not roll the number needed for despot to appear it wont pop. It's like rolling 3 dice after every kill and needing 3 6's, you can go hours and not get it if you're unlucky. Unlike some NM's there is no force pop on things like despot. FFXI devs are a HUGE fan of time wasting random crap.

These NM's are not 3 hour repops, they just allow despot to possibly pop after 3 hours. It still has to random in your favour to actually pop. It's entirely possible although unlikely for it not to pop for days and not be broken.

I understood the lottery pop condition. I was more or less making the post to see if other people were struggling in popping him, it's not like SE hasn't fucked parts of their game up after an update in the past.

This may be true for radar, but i can assure you there is always a corpse for SW and DI so i assume it would be the same for everything else. You may just not be able to see it using AP Radar
