Very slight bump in clock speed, same cache, same QPI rating.. will cost more than the 920 does now, but not sure how much more.

I wish I could sleep on a bed of cash.
I was laughing my ass off when they just fedex'd a check for $1.5 billion to AMD like it was nothing..
Edit: Caught this one late.. there's also a leak about the i7-980X EE, the first of the hex-core Gulftown CPUs, and the i5-670.

This thing looks like a BEAST, which makes me wonder how insane the i9s will be.
What the fuck... how am I supposed to upgrade my computer when there's so much new shit coming out?
Hexacore...holy fuck. Putting my upgrade plans on hold.
I think the big advantage to this chip is it has an unlocked multiplier.. I can't be 100% sure there but if that is true then it makes overclocking even easier..
Not that OC'ing a 920 wasn't simple enough already
Will be nice but since it's an extreme, I'm sure it'll replace the current extreme i7 900 which already was useless. Now this definitely is a step up, but even on my i7 920 that's not overclocked, I don't use much of my CPU at all lol.
It's nice but not for $1100+.
I was planning on replacing the wife and I's computer's in the next few weeks, maybe I can put it off for awhile...
