Looking for a good non-usb fan for laptop

The kind of fan that goes underneath the computer and keeps it cool instead of ouch-hot.

    Anything good out there?

    Or any suggestions ?

98% of them are going to be usb powered D: Just because people in general dont want alot of plugs hogging their outlets

New eggs list ~ You can always get a USB > ac plug converter thingy as well if its a huge issue to have not usb + really good product

The one I have I wouldn't recommend to a dumpster so I dont qualify to tell you which is better than the other ~ If no one else comments/gives advice I recommend just reading the reviews of the ones you pick as possibles.

This item came with my digi cam last year and it's worked well with everything I've plugged into it (cell phone, camera, etc)

I bought a Lapcool 3, it has a port and cable similar to something like the PSP charger for USB, so if you wanted, you could be a normal 3v or w/e ac adapter. but honestly, I don't think mine does much of anything lol

I figured the way it was designed would get more heat out.

So far it is actually working better than I originally thought it would- although the angle is a bit strange.

It really depends on what kind of laptop you have. Some laptops have intake/exhaust vents on the bottom of the laptop, in which case it makes sense to have it elevated or inclined. Others have both vents on the back of the laptop, which make the above setup useless. A lot of the time, opening a laptop up and cleaning the cooling channels with compressed air will do a lot more than a cooling fan ever could. If cooler air can't move through the laptop fast enough, it's not like a pad is going to help any.

I usually clean it twice a month with a good bit of canned air with a strong vacuum nearby to get all those nasty particle bits (away from the cpu).

My laptop has a bottom intake and a side exhaust, so this works pretty well for me =)
