Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Re-Orchestration

Thinking this is the appropriate thread for this, and the admins can move it if necessary.

Well, if any of you are a Legend of Zelda fan and enjoy video game music as well, you might want to check this out: http://www.zreomusic.com/.

It started as a project by a 14-year old to completely re-orchestrate the music of Ocarina of Time. Six years later, the project now involving himself and several other people have finally finished. It's a really impressive collection of songs from the game re-done with actual instruments-- both real and virtual.

I'm hoping maybe they could start on Twilight Princess next. ^^

So far, my favorite picks are:

- Lost Woods
- Title Theme
- Kakariko Village

EDIT: I just thought about it... would be hilarious is Nintendo already had the full orchestrated versions of everything, but had to "tone" it down to work within the N64 Constraints, and ended up releasing it after seeing this...

Thanks for the link. I absolutely love Zelda music and hearing all this done with an orchestra makes it sound even more amazing. I actually just added Saria's Song as my text message alert.

Thanks, Aselin! I love things like these, as well as the OCRemix site that does similar work to popular video game soundtracks. They did Xenogears a short while ago and a lot of the songs are really great.

Saw this less than a year ago but always nice to see again. Really enjoyed Ganondorf's battle theme the most, really captured the power of him (just wished he was harder tho)

Mastered in 192 mp3 is fail.

And it's not "reorchestrated" if it's using synth instruments, which is...exactly like the original game. Remixed, reduxed, sure. Live air orchestras sound patently different and to call this a reorchestration is a horrendous misrepresentation.

Dude also needs to learn what normalizing means.

And yes, I listened to it all first.
