I've just installed FFXI on my new laptop and am getting an error 20008003 message when trying to open POL. It says it can't run under the current operating system, which is Windows 7 64-bit. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also, what the hell is SE's "correct" email format when filling out a technical support application? I keep entering my address and it says the format is somehow wrong.

POL from cd's won't run on Windows 7 or vista.
use POL downloaded from www.playonline, then install ffxi from cd's. Works just fine then.

You can also install to Win7 64bit from the newest collection DVD - I did it myself a couple of weeks ago. The PlayOnline version in that collection seems to be compatible with the newer operating systems.
