Oh wow she's actually a ghostbuster, I thought when they signed Melissa McCarthy she was gonna play slimer.

Oh look, I was right.
I liked the picture of the 4 of them. Gonna stay cautiously optimistic just because Hollywood has surprised us with some really solid reboots/remakes over the years (Jurassic World, Dredd, First Class).
he's a weird fucker
Bridesmaids was hilarious. This shouldn't be Bridesmaids meets Ghostbusters but it is. They have the dorky one (Egon) the black one (Winston) the serious one (Ray) and the sarcastic asshole (Peter).
Looking at the actresses you know who fills whose shoes and I'm sorry but Kristen Wiig just won't cut it as Winston Zeddemore.

I like how casting is on the con list when you haven't even seen a trailer to see what the acting is like. I got no problem with the costumes, and I'm fine with the new packs.
I think the myth that women didn't like Ghostbusters before this reboot needs to die. Nerd girls aren't some fucking weird rare flower, they're all over the damn place. Are women jumping on it moreso than men because of feminism? Sure, that's to be expected. But I promise, there are a ton of women out there who liked Ghostbusters well before this, back into the 80s when the originals came out.
I'd say just getting more people in general interested in the franchise is a pro.
And that's the Aks feminist(ish) rant(ish) for the month. Haven't had one in a while.
Where the hell is that being said? All the women in my family loved the hell out of Ghostbusters.
Just going off of Trigun's post (partially), but it's also kind of jumping on the "fake geek girls" thing a bit. It's definitely not as prominent here because this is a video game forum so it goes without saying that we're all nerds, but women still have to deal with a lot of guys who don't take us seriously because we obviously can't be real nerds. Despite the fact that nerdy/geeky girls have been around for decades. Actually kind of similar to the female sports fan thing that I mentioned not long ago.
Like I said, not as visible here, for obvious reasons. But there are a ridiculous amount of people who think that girls only pretend to like this stuff to impress some guy. Not that we could actually enjoy it.
that vodka is pure shit, and aks, please stop
Someone asked a question, I answered. Get off my dick.
I demand an apology. That's a gender insensitive statement that offends people with actual dicks.
