All of this reeks of "hey remember the first film???" that reboots and remakes suffer from. I sure hope Murray stays FAR away from this now.

Melissa McCarthy, who was already in talks for one of the leads, has signed on for the Paul Feig-directed reboot, and the studio is now negotiating with Kristen Wiig, as well as Saturday Night Live players Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Obviously okay with Wiig and I'm mostly okay with McKinnon.. Jones just became an actress on SNL this season, but I think the majority of her roles have been angry black women. I don't know if that's the writers' faults or the extent of her skills, but I'm not gonna be very happy if she's one of the cast..

No Rebel Wilson though, so maybe we should count our blessings?

I don't want an SNL Ghostbusters. I want a good Ghostbusters. It's not a comedy. It would be like redoing Ferris Beuller as an action suspense movie.
