yeah, occasional bug aside I am having a blast with it, no pun intended. You been to the Mile High Club?

Got to love how indestructible the cars are as long as they're not being fired upon. >.>
I don't know how the hell I survived this:

The game has a certain charm to the way it's physics works. Definately over the top and unrealistic for the sake of fun and laughs.

Want to drive around your neighborhood in a pimped-out ice cream truck? Well, you can't in real life but you sure can in the open world action game sequel Just Cause 2. Today its publisher Square Enix has announced that players of the Avalanche Studios developed title can now access the Chevalier Ice Breaker vehicle for free.
Yes, you can be stylin' and profilin' in this rig which comes with some low suspension, a great paint job and as you can see a very nasty looking front bumper that looks like it could tear up your Ford Focus if you happen to be on the wrong side of it. This is likely the first of many extra content releases for the game in the coming weeks.

First place I went when allowed to roam was the Mile High Club... got 100% there and flew the plane off.
Notes on the new vehicle;
- on ps3, hit L3 to trigger music
- can hit top speed very fast if you want to do any canyon jumps
- takes no damage from gun fire, well you can still get your tires shot out, but rest is fine.
- counts as a "heavy vehicle" as you can drag large objects, i.e. Baby Panay statues
edit: just made a video of the invincible armor
edit 2: already glitched the damn thing
Square Enix has tapped the black market to bring even more power to the players. The Black Market downloadable content is divided into two sets. First up we have the Black Market Aerial Pack, due out on April 29, which features the F-33 Dragon jet fighter, a multi-lock missile launcher, and parachute dual thrusters, which effectively turn Rico's parachute into a mobile aerial battle platform.
The on May 25 players can pick up the Black Market Boom Pack, which includes the quad rocket launcher, which combines a shotgun and a rocket launcher, a cluster bomb launcher, and the experimental air propulsion gun, powerful enough to launch enemy vehicles into the sky.
The packs will run 160 Microsoft points or $1.99 apiece, depending on your platform.
that's nice, still would rather have the patch they've been hinting about to fix the hundreds of bugs found through-out the game.

So in June, all the pre-order exclusives will be made available.
having to buy the thrusters again when you die etc. is a pain in the ass
Can you ever run out of cash to buy stuff with? I know there's a shitload of destructibles, but I haven't really seen an easy means of farming cash.
I've yet to buy one thing from the black market since I'm saving up for all the upgraded helicopters I'll probably need to purchase for some of those flying challenges that always give you the worst possible planes to pilot for the given challenge.
I never ran outta cash to buy stuff. But i did play for like 6 hours just to get cash though!
Good ol' necro + 10-posts to link.
Anyways, still working on the damn game actually. Beat it ages ago, just been working on the elusive 75%-completion trophy from time to time, shit taking fucking forever, only at 57% atm.
The story is terrible/non-existent, but the game play is immense. There is literally 40 hrs of play time devoted just to exploring and collecting the items from the villages in the game. Then, there is the the 40 hrs+ of missions.
I have put at least 40 hrs into it so far, I have yet to see the entire map yet. I have been collecting parts to upgrade my favorite dual wield weapon combo to max as I hit the closest missions.
Again the story is not great and does not progress much at all. It is basically a "go there and conquer" over and over game, but very long.
I wish they put more effort into the story, everything else they nailed.
