WTB Ps3

With FFXIV and mostly FFXIII otw and of course my new TV, i am looking for a PS3, i would like one of these 2

1) the new small one in good condition
2) a good one in small condition that can play Ps2 games (and if possible PS1 games)

I might just buy the 299$ one but i wanna see if i can get a used one for cheap.

I don't think they made any of the slims backwards compatable for PS2 games.

Just a few things. All PS3's play PS1 games. Only the earlier models of the PS3 also play PS2 games, so the ones in production now don't.

My advice: Unless you can find one very cheap, get the $299 one for the full warranty. Or if you can wait, wait for a bundle/sale.

Just buy one off of craigslist... Last month I got a 120gb slim in mint condition with mgs4, resistance, and some racing game along with a HDMI cable, a controller with those L2/R2 button extenders, and 3 PS1 classics on the HDD (including FF7 and MGS) for $275. Better than any deal you can find online or at a retail store.

Only models that were PS2 compatible are the original 60gb, early 80gb, and MGS bundle. All are out of production, but can still be found used and on Ebay but usually at a premium price, and $299 is the regular price.

no bundles anytime soon that I know of, and no reason to do so. Our VP Conf call revealed that Sony was only sending us 10k units in our next shipment... 10k...They said not to expect full replenishments until possibly May.

I want one, I can wait. Im going to order one at the end of March.

Christ, what's with the recent surge in sales? Is it due to the heavy-hitters coming out soon, or just general increase in demand since the slim came out? I figured the additional sales due to the price-drop to $299 would have been over long before now.

Up where I live (lolCanada) they've always been in stock for the 120gb models.

Its like that where I work also, we're supposed to get a big shipment next week but we have so many on the waiting list for them that I doubt even one will hit the floor. Not to mention the calls every 15 minutes are great "Do you have any PS3's? No." It's like this everyday lol
