okay, 3 years later and having been denied 5 times,
The food stamp jokes finally apply now
I guess it's all in the timing. Applied in the summer instead of fall/spring. Not currently taking classes, so apped as a non student (less harsh requirements)
How many years do you get in FL? I only get 4 years with me being on year 2 and 1/2.
God damn, congratulations on finally getting approved CS.
hell yeah, glad to hear it
Can you buy bowls with those?
Didn't the federal government just cut food stamps completely or something?
edit: here we go http://www.colbertnation.com/the-col...-stamp-funding
you're an idiot. watch that video ,you fuck
lolwut
for starters, the house passing a bill does not a law make
right, but I'm assuming failing to pass a renewal of a law that's about to expire affects things?
if you count the bacteria in his bowl, yes
If you're going to be taking classes again in the fall, overlapping the period you were approved for, be prepared for the government to fuck you in the ass if they find out you applied as a non-student for a period where you actually were a student.
Yeah its a loophole, 1st time I applied was in the summer and the person interviewing me was like "Im going to ask you a question and answer it in a certain way..are you CURRENTLY enrolled in college?" so of course I knew to answer no lol.
Nope wrong, because he will have to reapply/renew somewhere in the winter, where he wont be taking classes again and will report no changes. Only major thing you need to report is if you suddenly land a job that pays well and you'll need to cancel your stamps...If you're going to be taking classes again in the fall, overlapping the period you were approved for, be prepared for the government to fuck you in the ass if they find out you applied as a non-student for a period where you actually were a student.
Which by the way is fucking annoying. I have a job now and I still cant get ahold of anyone to cancel my foodstamps, they keep transferring my account to new case managers and are only open till 4:30 so I can't even get out there unless I take a day off from work to do it. Phone calls go straight to voicemail...so fucking annoying. I'm just making sure not to use my card at all while I try to get it cancelled.
Yea as long as you dont use what they give you, you don't have to pay it back if it is being given in a loan basis or wrongly, considering your status changed. They will attach wages and go after your ass though so be sure not to use it even once. Quarterly income reports that they send to you have an "opt out of foodstamps" checkbox on them as well, you might have this depending on your state.
