I'm gonna level Red Mage to 99 and solo the whole world at once and there's nothing you can do about it.

I remember years and years ago, like the 2005 era, there was speculation that the level cap was being raised to 80, and people were saying more or less exactly this in regards to the HNM scene at the time.

Better late than never for people to be making good on these "solo everything that used to be a challenge" claims.

Let me rephrase. People who are still playing will be motivated in staying for sure, but I don't think if I had to start from scratch I would knowing that the new cap is 99 (yes even if it's just for one job). But maybe it's just me.

Think people didn't read about Odin. The accuracy of killing enemies decreases depending on how many mobs are in the AOE. Knowing SE more than 1 mob = 20% chance.

Probably like 0 accuracy with SMN burn numbers.

Yeah it doesn't make any sense. SE is making jobs more versatile and self-sufficient because of future player decline but MNK stays a one-dimensional DD job outside of a handful of events.

Also brings into question if they will keep certain things level capped. Will ENMs be 75 capped? I can't imagine *any* ENM being a challenge at 99. Maybe the drops will become obsolete and nobody will do ENM anymore.
