Related question: The name's taken by someone else on Remora, but I'm squatting it on Leviathan. After the server merge, would deleting this mule free it up for me or would the other immigrant with this name auto-claim it first?

Like I said at the time, they need to add a rage timer of 1 hour on Tia which is enough time to kill it twice over.

- Name did not exist on Lev. It exists on Remora.
- Created mule with name on Lev.
- Servers go bang smoosh.
- Delete mule.
- Who gets name claim, me on the rename screen or the other Remora immigrant?

If you create a character with their name it'll force them to change it, once they change it you're free to delete and take the name. If you don't have the mule there when they switch everyone with their name, they'll auto-get the name obviously.

I said I already have the mule. My question is entirely about what'll happen if I try deleting the mule/changing my name before they're forced to change their name, because from the looks of it the guy on Remora with this name does not log in (or at least sell/buy stuff over the AH) very often.
