What job are you taking to 99 first?

So assuming it may take a while to get to 99 with the massive exp needs and subs required, I was curious what jobs people were planning on taking to 99 first?

A lot of things will become easier in older content, but I'm interested to look at what the new content areas will be like (an alliance of sams, wars, and paladins because everyone levels their love?).. Will people be focusing on 99s that will help them defeat current content more easily and make olders stuff soloable (nin/dnc..).. Will people be focusing on LS parties to get more robust setups for lvl 99 content?

I assume the first couple pushes wont be that bad and people will catch up (75-80 wont take long for most people to get, but if they do 80-90 all at once and 90-100 a few months after, there should be a big gap in people and the jobs they have "maxed out".)

For me, Im PLD all the way.. But I really want to see my MNK or NIN push it's boundaries on damage and tanking... We shall see.

Since they're slowly phasing in level increases, I'll be able to level WAR and THF simultaneously as they roll in the patches. I need to get BLM to 75 and then it'll join WAR and THF.

Probably BLM. The job is a bitch to level, so I might as well do it when it will be easy to find people to xp with. It was always useful to have around, and it probably won't change at 99.


After that, either warrior or whitemage...w/e is needed the most. Maybe sam if gears from 75 doesn't carry to 99 pretty well, since it's ungeared at the moment..

I'd level BRD > PLD > RDM...then eventually burn my smn to 99 while leveling BLM or RNG. Might as well continue the astral flowing since that's the only reason smn hit 75 to begin with!

Will probably level most of them in a sporadic order so as not to get too bored and some of the loljobs depend on how much work I need to do towards campaign ranks and new items that there may be.
