It's also 7200.12, which should not have any problems as the infamous 7200.11 did. (the ones that failed catastrophically)
Just wanted to bump with THIS LINK HERE, same drive, now $40. Might get one right now.

    Seagate Barracuda 2TB 5900 32MB; $99 - Free Shipping

Looks like a potential good deal. The only problem is that this model seems hit or miss. It's got an inverse bell curve for stars.

$20 off an EVGA GTX 470, and you get Just Cause 2 for free.
Not much, but better than nothing, especially if you were already in the market for one.

Figured I'd just try a sticky rather than start a new thread although it doesn't quite fit.....

I'm looking at building a computer for basically ffxiv and web browsing. I'm in the Alpha but my current computer won't run it (I'm guessing the video card) so there is a strong temptation to buy one now since mine is 7 years old. However, I figure if I wait a few months I could potentially get more for the same money as technology gets cheaper.

My "computer/parts Deal" question is this: How quickly does technology for computers advance? Would there be a notable increase in the performance of any of the components if I waited 4-5 months? I'd really like to go another 8 years between computers again if I could get away with it. I only foresee playing MMO's on PC. For everything else I prefer console. So is it worth waiting to get a 'deal'? Or will the increased performance I get by waiting be so minimal it's not worth waiting?

Just found out there's also Bing cashback available per card so you can end up paying only $103.20 for two decent GPUs.

The reviews on newegg generally seem good, but I couldn't find a whole lot googling the model number.

hey, im looking to upgrade my RAM for my super old desktop, i dont really have the money to upgrade to an entirely new desktop just yet...so im just looking for some cheap RAM(only looking to get 512mb- maybe even 1gb if its cheap enough, dont hate i only currenly have 128mb!). that said, i think i remember a friend of mine telling me you can only get certain kind of ram for pcs. i know nothing about computers(if you couldnt tell already). so i just really want to know if it matters what i get.

i know this doesnt fit well here, so feel free to PM me if you wish, but any help would be nice. thanks!
