30 bucks (after rebate) for a decent mobo. Seems like a great price.
Indeed that is a good deal. If I were buying it I would take a screenshot of the rebate info on the ebay page. I've never read feedback regarding trying to claim a rebate when buying off of ebay. However, most Asus rebates are from "all resellers".
Good going Zet. Bought it.

Welp it's about that time again. My trusty old i7-960 has lived a good long life, but it just can't handle the new crop of games (it's perfectly fine for FFXIV, but it was choking badly running just the older beta version of PUBG). It's gonna be retired from gaming & will serve as my media storage.
The new PC is gonna be built around an i5-8600k, but I can't decide on a motherboard. Was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation in the $100-150 range.
As much as I don't like the company Asus, that's what I'm using because the BIOS is so easy to work in and the recent products I've used by them have been good. I hate Gigabyte's BIOS. MSI is in the middle. Never tried an EVGA but have heard good things.
I've had several Asus boards, and except for the batch of bad capacitors that were on a lot of things ~2005, I've always been very happy. Agree that Gigabyte's BIOS isn't amazeballs, but I do like the aesthetic of their boards the most and, on the Intel side, I think they've been pretty reliable.
Forgot to mention, I've used a number of AsRock boards for AMD builds and I really liked them as well. Tried one for my Ryzen build but the ram I bought didn't play well with it so I returned it.
