The 1080 is a dual-slot card ... it's supposed to take up two expansion slots in the case!

I'm completely confused. There is absolutely no reason it shouldn't fit. Maybe he thinks he needs to cut out the metal in between two slots.

yes,! And i thought height as well.

Also, Success! Got it turned on and working first try. I completely took off the motherboard and and saw there was a dent in the metal siding that was preventing the end piece of the graphics card from going down, must've been dropped pretty hard while being shipped. I banged it back into shape and voila! I proved that i am an idiot by fixing the dent. In my defense though it was 2 am on a work night when finishing up the build. Thanks for your guys patience and advice on this. I ruined a good case because of impatience, luckily no one will ever see the back side of it

Also here is my the build. I have been saving since last year by putting 50$ + overtime every paycheck into a savings account since January last year, was my new years resolution since my old computer was built in 2009. Would've bought a monitor as well but my truck needed new parts instead. Also waited for a lot of deals to come through so the real price is a few hundred less then whats in the link. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qVXXhq

I change colors weekly, right now monitor and tower are all blue (monitor has LED's underneath). Next time will be full on rainbow. Going to add a rgb strip or two eventually.

First person shooter not f/s . I want to upgrade to a 4k monitor and new GPU but I also want to use that for playing/streaming FPS games. I'd like to get something I could use for low lag when playing in 1080.

I would use the 4k for when I'm playing on PC but 1080p when I'm playing on console.

What my new computer looks like on the inside. It runs insanely well, can't hear the fans and i think this computer will become my new air conditioner unit. The Hyper 212 is amazing.
