You're not wrong but the difficulty is validating that it was used for mining. Oddly enough, because they were POTENTIALLY used 24/7, with PORENTIAL undervolting and consistent cooling it makes them almost like new. The only thing I've seen people complain about this far are replacing fans.

Logitech advertised the G710 with a video of the keyboard working after a tank drives over it. Yet one little fist and the M and "," keys stop working...

My old Logitech G15 went through much worse and is still ticking, and I'm using it again temporarily, but I replaced it because I shattered the LCD which killed the keyboard illumination (which I need)

I have no biases for or against clicky keys, but I like tactile feedback. Obviously I need something that's rugged and can take abuse.

I've been happy with my Corsair K70, but it'd mostly depend on what's important to you (Logitech's G413 is fairly similar for a bit less money). Even outside of the general benefits of mechanical keyboards, they tend to be both sturdier and more repairable. If you're particularly concerned about that though, I would probably look more at ones that are using actual Cherry switches and standard size keys, to make replacement parts easier to source (WASD keyboards sells them at good prices, complete keyboards from them are maybe a touch pricey).

Yeah my G15 has taken a lot of abuse and is still ticking. I've lost the G-key functionality, but I stopped needing that when I quit XI. I don't even need the LCD, it's just the illumination I would like back.

The funny thing is this is the second mechanical keyboard I've had that has developed key problems. Like the actual switch stops working even if you pop the keycap and try tap on the switch directly. Before the Logitech G710 I tried the Steelseries 7G.

Have you investigated how the switch might be damaged? You can buy replacements for about $1 apiece (here or here for instance), or you might have simply broken a solder joint and don't even need one. I broke the ESC key on my WASD keyboard and managed to fix it (protip: use key pullers, not a butter knife to pop the cap off). From what I see the 710 uses Cherry MX browns, not the not-Cherry ones that the G413 does.
