Professor Yana says nope.... Missy is post Simm. From what I've heard they do have lines together plus Moffatt has been wanting to do a two masters story for a while.

I'd say this episode, in general, was a touch below my expectations but Capaldi manages once again to elevate himself to an outstanding degree. I am seriously going to miss his as the doctor.

I'm curious as to where they will go with a new doctor. I assume younger, but by how much? Will they ever dare to go female?

I felt with all the gender related stuff, they were pushing it heavily. I even think there's definitely going to be a time for the doctor to be a woman. I just trust that those in charge, the writers, will pick the right time, instead of like "No, let's make him a woman NOW NOW NOW well get ratings and we've had 12 guys." If they have a good story and idea for an actor thats a dude, I want them to do that. If they have a good way to do it and make him a woman, please, do it. Doctor Who can occasionally dissapoint with an episode here and there, but overall it seems to avoid ever being truly dissapointing, and having a woman be The Doctor is something that has to be handled very well, not just shoe horned in.

That said, the gender references in the last two episodes, Missy, flash backs, man crush, etc, seems like they're aiming at it.

All this pre and post regeneration cross over got me thinking, and mind you I never saw the series before the 2000 relaunch, what if Doctor IS Master. Meaning, Master became Missy and Missy became Doctor. I mean, are we 100% sure she is dead?
