I think there was a previous episode (Tenth Doctor), where he'd stated he didn't fix it because he liked the Police Box look. The Perception Filter keeps people from even noticing it, much less raising questions about it.

Even if he fixed the circuit, I don't think there'd be anything stopping him from permanently setting it on "Police Box" mode.

He had tried with some success to repair the circuit in his 6th incarnation (in the Colin Baker episode "Attack of the Cybermen") but it would routinely change form to something that was out of place in regards to where it landed and he reverted it back to its police box form before disabling the circuit once again.

It was the 9th Doctor (though it's possible that the 10th Doctor said it as well at some point) that said that he got used to and actually started liking the police box look in the episode "Boom Town".

Did watch, not great but not bad either, my first guesses were either the Trickster or Valeyard. Kind of don't quiet get it, because of the ending, but we'll see i'm sure. +, Bowties are still cool.

Series 6 (2011)

A new 13-episode series, scheduled for broadcast in 2011, was confirmed by executive producer Piers Wenger in the March 2010 edition of Doctor Who Magazine. Filming is to start in July 2010. Matt Smith will return as the Doctor for the entire run, and Karen Gillan will also reprise her role as Amy Pond. Author Neil Gaiman is writing an episode for the first half of the 2011 series.

Yeah it felt like only a filler episode (as it's the middle of the series), and it felt a tad rushed as well imo. They should make each episode an hour instead of cramming it into a 40-45 minute slot. Fuck Over the Rainbow or w/e it's called on after it.

Otherwise I thought it was alright. Love the type of villain which berates and teases The Doctor, those are the best kinds of villain. I didn't really make any guesses to the identity of the Dream Lord. I had a vague feeling it would be something like The Trickster but I just refused to keep guessing cos my mind was blank anyway.

As for the ending, I need to re-watch it too. Something about a special kind of psychological dust The Doctor found in the TARDIS which affects you in your sleep that manifested the Dream Lord into his, Amy's and Rory's dreams?


Silurian two-parter next week although trailer looked sorta 'meh.'
