I'm not sure if I had a previous favorite episode, it might have been "Blink."

But nevermind that. New favorite episode, "The Doctor's Wife." Utterly brilliant.

I agree with you that Blink was a lot better than the Crash of the Byzantium Angels. The way the cameras showed the movement of the statues was a lot creepier in that episode, especially when the woman was facing the camera and the statues were in their rageface mode and then when she turned around to walk out of the room, as she passed the statue you saw the face change back.

My gf and I looked at each other after Rory said that and we were thinking the same thing. We were wondering though if it was a red herring, or if there is something about that episode that holds something very important

you can't beat blink, but that episode was fantastic. definitly one of the top few, loved the nostalgia moment when they brought tennants tardis control room back.

according to wiki the original name of FotD was River's Run and Moffat changed it last minute.

I can't believe that were her out of Corrie. She looked a cross between Helena Boham Carter and Elizabeth Hurley in DW.

^ I know, I had a huge crush on her when I was an early-to-mid-teenager when she was on Corrie, she's yummy. Doesn't seem she's lost any of her sultriness over the years, she's only 32 tbf though.

Sorry to ruin the sexy talk, but saw an awesome t-shirt print people might enjoy that was also relevant.

I don't know how popular the site is, but I have a number of shirts from teefury where they do a one-a-day print of a bunch of 'geek' t-shirts. 99% of them are general pop culture based, with a strong presence of Doctor Who/Torch Wood, Star Wars, Star Trek, Portal, and Harry Potter among other movies and games. This is today's t-shirt which I quiet liked, and they have a gallery of all their other shirts here (they have a forum where people trade/sell shirts after the fact if you really want one).

Now it is a question of who the little girl is. All signs would point to the girl being amy's daughter and that the doctor is the father, but then again, it could simply be that the little girl may have been an experiment and the silence were trying to create a time lord and amy was the surrogate mother. If you go back to the Lodger episode they were trying to make a tardis and they needed a pilot so it could be that they were trying to engineer a time lord which was the little girl
    Spoiler: show
I agree for the most part, but if you remember, it was pointed out that the Silence don't actually create anything for themselves, but merely use technology they acquire from others. The Doctor even went so far as to say that the reason that we sent people to the Moon is so that scientists would need to create a spacesuit, which the Silence in turn needed for the girl. I do believe that the girl was created to be a pilot for the TARDIS-esque ship seen in The Lodger and The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon, but that she's a human/Time Lord hybrid of the Doctor and Amy. It was established in The Lodger that human brains were too weak to control the ship and it resulted in their deaths, and that a Time Lord's brain was too strong for the ship, so a happy median would be a hybrid.

I also feel that Amy, pregnant with the child, was sent back in time during those days she couldn't account for while she was imprisoned by the Silence, had the child, raised the child (hence the pictures of her in the orphanage), and then set back forward in time with next to no memory of what happened. The fact that she was sent back in time would potentially explain why the TARDIS isn't capable of assessing properly if she's pregnant or not. I don't know what the "Eyepatch Lady" has to do with things, but I believe that she's going to be a significant figure later on, perhaps one of the instigators of the entire series of events (the true race behind the ship in the Lodger and the technology we've seen the Silence using, etc)

There has been speculating that the eyepatch lady was present during Amy's Delivery of the baby as a midwife and that Amy is somehow remembering her and projecting her into this world. Her most recent line "It's fine. You're doing fine. Just stay calm" is something a midwife would say to a person in labor, but who knows it could be anything.

I see the eyepatch lady as more of a psych ward doctor sliding that little door open to check on the crazy patients.

That's actually what I assumed throughout the episode. Was a little disappointed tbh.

Still think this episode is feeding into some Red Herrings cause my GF started speculating at the end that

    Spoiler: show

the doctor that we saw die at the beginning of the season was the Ganger

Your girlfriend may or may not be a wizard. I'd check for wands.
