Loved the classic episodes reference when he first met Craig and the K9 references. Talking to the baby was also hilarious.

    Spoiler: show
Starting to think that the room he saw was his death/the person who killed him since he knows that tomorrow is his death. I can't imagine them fitting all of the next episode into one hour though from the 'Next Time' teaser, but it is supposed to be the series finale. Going to go crazy if they don't solve this storyline by the end of next week's episode.

Pretty awesome episode. It really showed how the Doctor tries to run away from saving Earth but he can't help it and also the fact that he needs others as much as they need him.

As far as timelines are concerned this definitely felt like 1-3 months after the Doctor dropped Rory and Amy off. The baby looked a lot older than the amount of time between when we last saw Craig and Sophie plus any time for pregnancy. Also throw in the fact that Amy is already famous due to her fragrance line called Petrichor (The Smell of Rain) which is from the episode "The Doctors Wife" where they had to think of a series of passwords to get into the old console room.

Thinking about this whole season, it seems that since the Doctor knows he is going to die and the fact that Amy, Rory, and River knew about it, I would assume that he had figured out that they had all witnessed him die and so he is sending the invites to everyone to watch him die as a way to preserve the timeline. Also there is that bit at the end of tonights episode where River didn't know who Madame Kavorian was which leads me to believe that the older River who witnessed the Doctors Death didn't remember any of those events from her past nor remembers ever being in the space suit.

What bothers me most though is that I really hope they don't pull what they did with the Master. When he died the Doctor burned his body and so did the Ponds and River. With the Master though, he was resurrected via a ritual that the Time Lords used previously on him during the Time War and I pray they don't use the same thing on the Doctor. But regardless it will be interesting to see how they tie everything together. I thought the bit at the end in regards to the blue envelopes and the Stetson was a nice touch to tie in to the opening episode.

Weak ep, probably the worst of the series yet imo. A Cyberman ship buried underground and no one found it before? Only thing worth watching was the last 5 minutes.

This. I didn't care much for Craig the first time, and it feels like what the Doctor did after The End of Time. The tie ins were a nice touch though. And I'm pretty sure River said the Doctor was 200~ years old when he died than when they last saw him at the beginning of the series, so he must have been traveling a lot and alone it seems. I did think he was acting a bit strange at the beginning of the episode, so that might be the reason why.

I thought it was an awesome episode! Albeit i was expecting a bit more from the cybermen. They ended up seeming nothing more than an after thought. Saying that i thought everything else about it was awesome. Glad they moved away from the last few emotional episodes into one which was full of laughs.

One thing i wonder too is if you remember back at the beginning of the season when the doctor dies by the lake there was a lot of speculation that the doctor that died was his doppleganger. Does seeing him in this latest episode getting the stetson and envelopes rule out it being the doppleganger? If it does maybe that's how he will "survive"

I thought it might be a doppleganger after the episode with them and the whole thing with Amy, but leaving it up to the final episode for that feels kinda cheesy. I'm really curious as to what they're going to do because River already saved the Doctor's life once by giving up her regenerations, but not sure how they'll get out of it.

If you remember the beginning of the River song stuff, she says the first time the Doctor meets her is the last time she meets the Doctor, and vice versa. Her killing him at the lake wouldn't exactly be the first time she meets him, and I'm sure I have the timeline confused, but it seems like she doesn't remember the Doctor (or at least meeting him) in the state they picked her up.

I can't wait to find out what happens.

I think River's memory is pretty fucked from all of her encounters with the Silence. If you remember The Doctor said the guy who ran the orphanage was really messed up by them[Day of the Moon]. Who knows, maybe that is another reason why she carries the diary. She might not be able to trust her own memories.

I hope someone puts a Doctor-River timeline somewhere on the internet. I might give it a shot if I get time and rewatch some episodes.

I just thought it was odd the direction they started taking with her story last season. In the episodes in Season 4 where she appeared, she made a big deal out of how the message went wrong and ended up at a Doctor she hadn't met yet. It wasn't until Season 5 when they started with the whole, 'we're traveling backwards' crap. Which the convenient little 200 year gap the Doctor just had off camera can take care of quite a bit of the stuff they've been taking about.

    Those pictures seem to confirm

    Spoiler: show

The earlier speculation that an eyepatch is ones only defense against the silence. Since one eye is covered you are in a sense looking at them and not looking at them which messes with their ability to make you forget and you end up remembering them.
