Poll Details were gathered and even discounting a LOT of NYC votes it pulled ahead by quite a bit. I have just ironed out the details of the place I'm moving to and it's about 2 blocks away from my old place so it makes things a lot easier from my perspective.
First off, dates.
People should aim to fly in on the third of June, as I will not be at the airport on the 4th at any point past 1PM to greet anyone. Also, if you're flying into laGuardia there's no way in hell I'm going out there for your sake, jfk or meet me later.
Friday the 4th: We will be having a day out in midtown manhattan, likely. This will give anyone who wants to do the silly tourist bullshit time and opportunity to do so. We'll probably grab dinner at a place near time square. Note that even if you're conservative you're probably looking at throwing 20 down for a night out in midtown just straight up regardless.
Saturday the 5th: Barbecue Day.
This will be at my place on 54th Street in brooklyn. It is quite easy to get to from manhattan in the case that people pick a hotel out there but it's off of the 53rd street stop on the R or the 59th Street stop on the N. We will be buying copious amounts of food and alcohol previous to this day so if you plan on coming keep in mind that it will be about 15 bucks at the door to cover for everything. I'm saying so now so you don't think I'm grifting you on the day there.
Sunday we'll probably take it easy and go bowling in the afternoon or some shit unless someone finds something interesting to do between now and then.
As for accommodations, I know Akanei is covered on a place to stay and skirk is likely crashing at my place. There is a days inn within walking distance of my new apartment so I'd say start looking for deals or people you're familiar with that you can crash at for the weekend. I'll accept the extenuating circumstances of people likely passing out drunk at my place on saturday. Keep in mind that if you fall asleep with your shoes on you're getting sharpied.
K? K.
