Missing a couple things for my MNK, but finished 90 H2H last night...

85 > 90 took 2 nights cleaving for KI's.... 39 the first night, 36 the second.

Best cleave contained 4 ears. Only 1 Dahak dropped KI when AoE'd down with Dragua...

1 Brew = 4 Dragua (could've done 5 but a close call made me change to 4).

Back on topic, between 90Mandau and 90Twashtar, I would believe that Twashtar is still a bit more powerful when you can freely SA and TA. While Mercy is now comparable to Rudra's, the Twashtar's aftermath puts it ahead. Everyone could probably guess this already, but I'm just confirming it.

When Ochain's special effect were first reported there was unverified info on it blocking additional effect status' on melee hits. I never did see any later tests on this, so when I got my Ochain a few days ago I went to find some nasty add effect mobs.

Ochain most definitely does NOT block add effects on "normal" melee hits. After going and getting fucked up by Warbler and that en-doom tiger that much is pretty clear.

However, at first I thought it was true, because one of the first mobs I tanked after getting Ochain was an Ironclad. And it certainly did block the Ironclad's En-stun/amnesia at and extremely high rate(1 proc the whole fight and I may have been facing away when hit).

Took me awhile to figure out what was going on when warbler kicked my ass. But eventually I remembered that Ironclad melee hits are counted as WS. Now I'm sure a fair amount of PLDs have experienced blocking a WS(seeing really low dmg) and then not getting stun(or whatever effect) fucked by said WS. So its not that Ochain has a unique effect on blocks, but a natural shield block effect occuring at an extremely high rate due to Ochains block rate.

Hmm.. I kinda rambled on there...

TLDR; Ochain doesn't block add effects on melee hits. It DOES block them on physical WS(including Ironclad melee).

If your party has all the other drops, they can't drop. Blue !! increases the slot drop rate to about 50-70% with TH. Because Shinryu has multiple items sharing a slot (cloak/helm/mail iirc), even with Blue !! you have a relatively low chance to get them. If you're soloing and the only Shinryu drop that you don't have is Mail, even with Blue !! and TH you'd only have about a 20% chance of Mail dropping.

I haven't had the chance to test either of these yet, but in the case of Azdaja I don't think it would work. His dispel move isn't a physical attack. And its not an additional effect, its the only effect. So, since there's nothing for me to physically block, i can't see it working.

Now, in Bukhis' case I'm almost certain that it will work. I've already had very good results with using reprisal and a shield skill set when I see Lethal Triclip coming. I think I got my buffs dispelled once in something like 6~ fights. And most of those did hit me, usually only had 1~2 shadows up. also had some luck in preventing Ruinous scythe's HP down that way. So, yeah. With Ochain Bukhis should just be a matter of holy water and luck. <,<;

Bring TH. It does a hell of a lot more than Blue !! in my experience.
