Scott Pilgrim vs The World

The trailer made me want to check out the comic. So I did and I have to say I have a hard time imagining Cera as Scott Pilgrim. Pilgrim seems to have this sense of ignorant confidence that is quite distant from Cera's style of awkwardness. Aside from that the comic was great and the movie looks like it could at least be somewhat entertaining. I'm curious how they plan to cram all of the comics into one movie though.

Have you seen Youth in Revolt?

Cera pushed himself quite a bit as an actor playing Francois Dillinger and could be able to pull off ignorant confidence

I just finished reading the comics (thanks for the links Qalbert).
And I'm glad its getting movie love... just kinda wish they had actually made it a TV miniseries instead. There's a LOT of storyboard to work with.

I don't get why people hate on Cera, its cool when Woody Allen/Larry David/Jerry Seinfeld/Ricky Gervais/Jim Carrey/Seth Rogen/Will Ferrell/Rodney Dangerfield/Mel Brooks and arguably most other comedians in hollywood play the same character/do the same schtick for every role, but he can't?

Cera was great as George Michael in Arrested Development. None of his movie roles really stand out in my mind as great but I wouldn't call him awful. This movie looks pretty fun and from the few reviews I've read online, people say its really good.

Michael Cera doesn't annoy me nearly as much as Shia LaBeouf. And yeah, Cera was great in Arrested Development.

I don't really have a problem with Cera playing the same person over and over. It's just in my mind he's not how I envisioned Scott Pilgrim translated into live action (In appearance or attitude). Still looks neat though.

Some of those people are funny though.
