CamStudio can't find record from speakers

Options --> Record Audio from Speakers
This gives me a message "WaveoutGetSelectControl() failed."

Using speakers and not headphones. Have used livestream streaming before and it records from my speakers fine.

Played around with Audio Options for Speakers but doesn't seem to do any difference...

Does that to me, still records the audio, have you made anything with sound to try?

Tried anyway got no sound. This is VISTA btw

Edit: Just to mention, I saw a guide to locate "AudioMix" under recording devices but it doesn't show up for me.

Try this, it may be Stereo Mix or What-U-Hear;

1. Select "Sound" from the control panel.
2. Select the recording tab.
3. Right click on the background of the tab and choose "show disabled devices".
4. Right click on Stereo Mix and click enable.
5. Make Stereo Mix as your Standard
6. Now it should work, allowing you to record any sound your computer makes.
7. Start Cam Studio
8. Go to Options\ Audio Options for Speaker
9. Choose at Soundcard Device "Stereomix"
10. Go to Options and enable "Record audio from speakers"

Stewie, I had tried that and it doesn't appear for some reason. I know a couple of other VISTA users had this issue too with it not appearing...

What DOES appear? I went through this issue when I was on Vista but stereo mix appeared after displaying disabled devices

Nothing appears. I read somewhere that it is based on your soundcard or something... mine is updated and still no luck
