It's a crazy step away from being Hordak's evil minion who followed him to Eternia from Etheria but stayed behind after Hordak was driven away, but only after princess Adora was kidnapped.

Or even sinister count who rebelled against the king and fell victim to his own acid attack, melting his face and driving him insane, like a cross between Red Skull and Joker.

I don't like forcing familial connections to try and spice up the plot! Skeletor can be an evil dickbag without needing to make Thanksgiving awkward!

My bro, I remember an uncanny amount of stuff MotU related for some reason. That was like my first major toy as a kid. It's actually a really cool universe of characters for the most part. Has lot of potential but stuck as a kid's toyline basically.

Masters of the Universe Movie Targets Iron Man Writers

The Masters of the Universe movie is moving forward with the writers behind Iron Man. The writing duo of Matt Holloway and Art Marcum are currently in talks to pen the screenplay for the long-gestating new adaptation of the popular toy line for the big screen. Sony Pictures is working on the movie, as they have been for some time, alongside the recently formed Mattel Films, the new movie division of the popular toy company

All anyone needs to do is write out the bull shit of Skeletor and He-Man being brothers and this movie'll skyrocket in quality imo. Here's hoping for the best.
