I wasn't bitching actually, I said i'd see if tonight was an improvement but you people don't read posts before you nerd rage. I was expecting a ban after that last shitstorm to be honest. :D

Tonight I was able to log in for a while, although after a while I d/ced and couldn't log back in due to a server error. I have a feeling that error has something to do with moving around while r0ing. I submitted a bug report so hopefully in the coming weeks we'll see further improvements. The login process is a little slow at the moment but i'd imagine that's due to server load mostly.

Tuesday, May 11, 2010 – 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. *2
Tuesday, May 11, 2010 – 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. *3

*1 Only users with Japan-based Square Enix accounts will be able to log in.
*2 Only users with Europe-based Square Enix accounts will be able to log in.
*3 Only users with North America-based Square Enix accounts will be able to log in.

* Three test periods per day have been set in accordance with times of anticipated peak activity in each region.

Test Content:
- Quest System
- Guildleve System
- Battle System
- Basic Controls
- User Interface

* The contents of the sixth alpha test will be the same as the fifth alpha test.

To be fair, this has been my expierience as well. The first alpha day I did great once I spammed my way in. Once in, I had an uninterrupted play experience. I could do combat, test things, report graphial bugs, etc. I submitted about a half dozen issues that day.

Now I find myself getting into the game in fewer tries, sometimes as low as one, but once in theres a plethora of reasons I get booted or have some kind of problem. Oh, and of course theres the problem Cookies mentions, where the login accepts, the screen goes dark and says now loading, and sometimes even the music changes to the region where I'm logging in ... and then nothing, just "Now Loading" for eternity. I've let it sit for upwards of 20 minutes just to see if I'd eventually get all the way in. Usually the thing that indicates success is after a minute of hearing the zone music, eventually I hear sound effects. Once you hear a crystal or footsteps or something, its means i'm within 15 seconds of being in and playable.

Really, after a month of time to fix this, the server stability issues shouldn't be as bad as they are. You're telling me it takes a month to stabilise a client with as few as ~2000 people playing? Sure it's a new game, but still.

This would probably go quicker if they opened the servers every day.

I realize that, but I am not a beta tester so I have to go on other people's words So no way for me to have known if they were gmt or pst.

Nah they post that everytime a new Alpha Test Session come, by next they actually mean the Seven Alpha test.
